Java Developer

Role Description:
• Produce designs and create prototypes for development tools.
• Coordinate integration of components within the application, develop utilities and PoCs and release the application for system testing.
• Provide functional and/or technical expertise to plan, analyze, define and support the delivery of future functional and technical capabilities for an application or group of applications.
• Review and integrate all application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality and operations requirements.
Provide input into final decisions regarding hardware, network products, system software and security.
Required Skills:
· Java (language) – Proficient (P2)
· Linux – Proficient (P2)
Additional Preferred Skills:
· Experience with Jenkins, Maven (pom authoring), Sonar
· Experience using Source Control such as Git or SubVersion
· Experience with Integration development environment (IDE) like Eclipse; Jboss Development Studio (JBDS), or Spring STS
· SQL and Mark Logic Development experience
Additional Requirements:
· Must be able to receive Federal Public Trust clearance
· Candidates must have lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years.
· Candidates must be local to the Washington, D.C. Metro/Northern VA area – travel will not be reimbursed.
· Completed Background Investigation in accordance with Section 8.3 of your Subcontract Agreement prior to start of work.

Role Description:
Client public trust clearance requires that individual has lived in the US 3 of the last 5 years
This is a priority position with a dynamic team. The role requires that the individual:
· Review functional specifications and create technical designs for those specifications.
· Develop MarkLogic xqueries and corb jobs based on technical designs.
· Create and execute unit tests for developed components.
· Consistently use coding standards and code quality tools
Required Skills:
· Java technology and JavaScript experience, 3 years preferred
· J2EE Architecture experience, 3 years preferred
· Demonstrate experience in multi-tier Application Development Front End UI - Mid App - REST/SOAP Services - Backend - DAL.
· Demonstrate experience using Eclipse based Tools, SoapUI, JBOSS, Databases
Additional Requirements:
· Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
· Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
· Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
