Description |
Blu Age Consultant Description of Assignment: Provide mainframe modernization tool-specific recommendations for migrating a COBOL/VSAM application to Java/SQL. Activities may include: · Assist with Blu Age tool installation · Assist with overall environment setup, including Continuous Integration · Assess and modernize legacy VSAM files into modern relational database · Assess and assist prime contractor with modernizing legacy COBOL application into modern Java architecture Staff resource skillsets should include: · A minimum of 5 years knowledge and/or work experience with Blu Age Legacy Client-Server to Cloud, Data/Database Modernization and Blu Age Forward products across multiple legacy applications (i.e. COBOL, NATURAL, etc.) and data stores (i.e. DATACOM, VSAM, etc.). · A minimum of 12 years specific knowledge and/or work experience with mainframe applications. · A minimum of 8 -12* years specific knowledge and/or work experience with mainframe data stores. · Advanced technical writing skills. · Excellent communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels. · Ability to work independently. · Experience capturing and documenting requirements (minimum of 5 years) * Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred. More experience is required for non-degreed candidates.
