A. INVITATION FOR OPEN SCIENCE TRAINERS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GATE SERVICE

***********************************************************************************************************

Dear Open Science Trainer,

we are excited to introduce the Open Science Learning Gate (GATE) and invite you to participate in one of its core features: the GATE Service!

What is the GATE?

The GATE follows a community-based approach and aims at connecting communities of trainers dedicated to advancing Open Science education. Acting as a knowledge hub for qualitative Open Science education, the GATE collects Open Science guiding thoughts and practices from trainers across Europe, analyses them, and feeds back findings to the community in a structured way via annual GATE Reports (and further dissemination channels). In a nutshell, the GATE promotes high-quality educational materials and their ongoing optimisation, fosters engagement, and community-building amongst all Open Science actors.

Why Participate?

Your expertise is essential to the GATE’s community-driven approach. By taking part, you will benefit from:

  • Support to enhance your Open Science educational materials’ quality and impact.
  • A platform for community-based exchange on Open Science guiding thoughts and best practices as well as new developments.
  • Tools for sustainable and FAIR sharing and long-term use of educational materials.
  • Guidance to expand your educational materials’ reach across Europe and beyond.
  • A network of Open Science trainers and communities for collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

How to Join:

Get started by completing the GATE Service

The GATE process should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

The data is used for research and reporting purposes, in compliance with all GDPR standards. It will be mirrored back to participants with the next GATE Report.

Thank you for your time and valuable contribution. If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to contact us.

You can read more about the GATE here and soon on our website.

Furthermore you are very welcome to share this invitation with other trainers or developers of Open Science educational materials.

Join us in shaping the future of Open Science education. We look forward to welcoming you to the GATE community!

Best regards

The Open Science Learning GATE Team
