What are you doing this summer? ITA teachers and students are hard at work in lots of different projects this summer:
4 ITA teachers, Ms. Lynn (Biology), Mr. Johns (Intro2Tech), Mr. Fung (Integrated Science / Physics), and Mr. Phillips (English 10 / English 12) will be working in Silicon Valley at tech companies learning about cutting-edge products and learning what 21st century transferable skills are needed to be taught next year in ITA. For more information on each position, see the attached pdf.
We also have several ITA students (sophomores and juniors) applying and interviewing for summer IT internships, at the CIty of Fremont IT Department, Robert Half International, and Peer 1 ISP & Hosting. Students have been working hard to earn industry-recognized certifications so that they can be qualified to apply for these positions!
So what will YOU do this summer to increase your tech skillset? Tech summer camp? Learn a programming language? Build a computer from scratch? Go to WWDC, E3, or some other tech conference? We'd love to hear about it!!!
We are looking forward to meeting all of you in September!
