 Cloud Operations Engineer (AWS)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to manage, automate, and optimize our AWS infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS services, IaC, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools, with a DevSecOps mindset.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud Operations

  • Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EKS).

  • Ensure system performance, high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Implement and maintain IaC solutions (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).

  • Enable repeatable, auditable, and automated deployments.

3. CI/CD Enablement

  • Build and maintain automated pipelines for application and infrastructure delivery.

  • Use tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.

4. Container Orchestration

  • Operate and secure Kubernetes clusters (Amazon EKS).

  • Handle workload deployment, scaling, and cluster monitoring.

5. Security & Compliance (DevSecOps)

  • Integrate security controls into development and operations.

  • Perform vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance checks.

6. Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Configure observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).

  • Monitor environments, respond to incidents, and conduct root cause analysis (RCA).

7. Collaboration

  • Partner with developers, security teams, and architects.

  • Deliver resilient, compliant, and high-performing cloud solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, EKS).

  • Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).

  • Experience in CI/CD pipeline automation (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline).

  • Hands-on with Kubernetes/EKS for container orchestration.

  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and compliance frameworks.

  • Proficiency in observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
