Hello All,
Can anyone of you provide Microsoft's techinical support email ID or contact number where I can send a query and expect a techinical reponse?
Please do mention if it is no-charge or chargeable support.
The query I want to raise:
We have data amounting nearly 1000 GB on Windows Storage Server 2003 R2. Out of that we have nearly 100 GB of files which are set to Read-only attribute.
This attribute I am asking is not under security tab, it can be seen when we open properties page of any file and see a check box of Read-only.
Files with different and various extensions like .sql, .html, .exe, .dll, .java, .AOT etc. are stored on this server.
I have 2 queries:
1. Why these files have Read-only attribute (-R) set
2. What will be the implications if we remove this attribute.
Anyone sharing his/her views is much appreciated. Also expecting details for Microsoft.
Thanks,
Saurabh.
