I find the google group to be very interesting. I can't help but
compare it to our blogs in blogspot. I find both forms of technology
similar in that we create a topic to discuss with our followers, and
in turn the followers can leave comments on what we have created.

I agree! It provides another avenue to discuss topics. The only
issue I would have with using it in my classroom is that some of my
students do not have a computer at home.
