Una paesino USA offre accesso Starlink ai cittadini

Come negli Stati Uniti, anche in Italia ci sono localita'
male servite dalla rete di telecomunicazioni dati.
Finora una soluzione era la connettivita' satellitare,
ma la qualita', specie in tempi di risposta, lascia a
desiderare e non e' certamente un servizio a basso costo.
Starlink cerca di risolvere ambedue i problemi, ma
ancora e' relativamente costosto per una famiglia comune.
Ecco cosa ha fatto una cittadina negli Stati Uniti:

Eau Claire ha circa 68mila abitanti, ma si trova lontano
dalle dorsali di comunicazioni dati.

"The Eau Claire County Board of Supervisors has authorized the
Broadband Committee to move forward pursuing project funding,
to apply for a WEDC grant, and determine users to participate
in the pilot project, and development an agreement for those
users."

"The total project cost is estimated to be $85,000. The Broadband
Committee is working to fund the entire cost of the pilot project
through grants, contributions from collaborating partners and a
commitment from Eau Claire County itself."

"The equipment for each connection costs $499 and the monthly
service fee is $99 per month. These costs will be covered for
all participants during the 12-month pilot project. After the
pilot project, participating households and businesses will
have the opportunity to continue the service by paying the
$99 monthly service fee."

Ma in una visione "cooperativistica" si puo' allargare lo scopo,
formando delle associazioni/comunioni(giuridiche) di una decina
di appartenenti per cui si trovano a dividersi i $99/mensili,
pagando circa $10 a testa al mese per un servizio che resta
ancora ben piu' capace di quello offerto dalle soluzioni
convenzionali. Ovviamente occorre usare un router/switch
intelligente che bilanci il traffico dati sulle linee,
ovvero quando si arriva a saturazione, la capacita' venga
equamente divisa tra chi e' conensso.
