Firstly, sorry for having to switch to English in this NG but my
Italian ...
I will be on holiday in Soiano/Lago di Garda next week for 10 to 14
days and I will have to check/answer my firm e-mails frequently. I am
using a Siemens ME45 GPRS cellular phone and after some research in
the Internet I found that a possible solution for getting mobile
internet access in Italy might be
1. to buy a pre-paid TIM-card
2. activate TIM's GPRS-free-summer.
Does this sound reasonable? Is there anything special to be observed?
As a matter of course, any better solutions/suggestions would be
appreciated.
On the TIM homepage it says that GPRS-Free-summer "puo essere
attivata, anche piu volte, fino al 6/10/02. Hopefully, this is 6
October (not 10 June). Can anybody confirm?
Thanks a lot for your help
Uwe

1. buy a pre-paid Vodafone Omnitel card, their GPRS service is the best in
Italy;
2. activate the promotion for free GPRS.
