The accommodations are small but comfortable at a very good price.
The restaurant is one of the best in Arusha. The band is entertaining
as well.
Enjoy.

The best parts were the band, who we called the "tired band". These guys
used to perform every night at the hotel, and you could see they were very
set in their routine, and were pretty bored with it. They were however very
entertaining, as it often looked like the drummer was falling asleep while
playing, and the lead siner, a big old guy, used to carry a half jack on
Konyagi (a Tanzanian type white spirit) in his trouser pocket, and get
pretty wasted. The more wasted he became, the louder he would sing, it was
excellent. As a treat, the owner would come and sing with them every now and
again, it was really entertaining. Ask them to sing Americano with the
owner... I think they will be pretty shocked that you know it.
Best regards
Rodger

Not to mention the *acrobats* on Sundays. Not to be missed!
I didn't see the original post, but stayed in Arusha recently, at the
Arusha Coffee Lodge. I'd thoroughly recommend it.

I second the nomination for the Arusha Coffee Lodge-wake up and smell the
freshly brewed coffee, feel the warmth of the fireplace in your room.. Was
there in January --charming working coffee plantation on the west side of
town-conveniently five minutes from Arusha Airstrip (private charters).
Closest to 5-star you will find in Arusha. Good food, good service and a
nice view of Mt. Meru..
Read about them and see photos on this website:
