A proposito delle Klipsch Heresy e di musica classica, alcuni commenti in

"when I talked about the prospective Heresy's application. He said "they
might work for symphony, but these are rock-out speakers, not meant for
string quartets or piano sonatas."
------
"THe modern concept of "imaging" is a bit foreign to the horn-loaded
speakers of the past. The Heresy and Cornwall will do a creditable job or
reproducing the sense of acoustic space in a well-recorded (minimally miked
and tweaked) performance, but will often be very 2D sounding with
multitrack/overdubbed/compressed pop recordings.
The difference between good and bad recording on these speakers is not
subtle.
You'll generally find that they load a larger space better than a small one
(at least that's true for Cornwalls).
BTW, according to accounts I've read on the Klipsch forums, Paul W.
Klipsch's real love in terms of "demo tracks" for his speakers was brass
band (marching band) music! "

"As to the Heresy, in my opinion it's a terrible speaker and a trap.
Initially it exibits wonderful clarity and dynamics however in my case the
delight soon gave way to chronic "earwire" and listener fatigue. The speaker
has a terrible tonal balance, the result of PWK letting his theories of what
a loudspeaker should be get in the way of what a speaker actually does. PWK
eliminated distortion in a small box speaker by eliminating the bass, not a
good trade off."

The Heresy misses the refinement of stereo imaging brought on by better
driver materials, better cross-overs, cabinet design, computer modelling and
the ability of designers to measure and decrease distortion using laser
interferometry. It retains the Klipsch classic sound that colours the vocals
and favors dynamics over refinement.
