"Fees
Implementing an SD-Card host isn't practical for developers of inexpensive
products that sell in modest quantities. Every device that contains an
SD-Card host must be licensed. At this writing, it costs $1000/year to join
the SD Card Association and another $1000/year for a member to license a
host. Membership includes access to the SD Card specifications."
leggo su questo forum
http://www.microchip.com/forums/m365768-print.aspx
"If your company is planning to make, design, use, offer for sale, import or
export any SD memory card (eg. Flash memory card, ROM cards, SD I/O Combo
cards, miniSD, microSD cards) or contract to have any SD memory card made,
developed, designed or manufactured by a third party your company is
required to:
1.Join the SD Association and
2.Execute a License Agreement for SDA Memory Card Specification or LAMS with
SD Association
3.And execute a Card License Agreement (CLA).
...so you cannot even use SD cards without becoming a member for $2000
yearly. You cannot even contract another company (even if they are a member)
to do this for you without you becoming a member. You cannot even sell,
import, export an SD card if you're not a member.
Is this a joke ? Or is it for real I have to quit using SD cards in my
company ? this is foolish. let's begin to do what they want: obey their
will, boycott using their cards. "
insomma, finchè non trovo scritto chiaro che posso includere una SDcard senza
licenza alcuna ,non oso proporle al committente
