Avery Brooks (DS9: Sisko) performs on a new CD release of "Tania."
Based on the 1974 kidnapping of Patty Hearst, the 1992 opera tells
the story of Hearst's abduction and brainwashing by the Symbionese
Liberation Army (SLA). Brooks plays the part of Cinque, the SLA
leader. The album will be released on CD by KOCH International

Hepburn in the one-woman play "Tea At Five." The play will run from

at <http://members.tripod.com/~marcia_2/teafive.html> and

And Mulgrew is widely rumored to be making a cameo appearance in
Star Trek X.
Scott Bakula (E: Archer) will star with Elizabeth Perkins in the
Showtime film "What Girls Learn," based on the novel by Karin Cook.
Jonathan Frakes (TNG: Riker) and Brent Spiner (TNG: Data) recently
visited the Enterprise set to look around and offer advice to Scott
Bakula. More information can be found on StarTrek.com at

the run through July 22. More information about how Optical Data
Network readers can qualify for a discount on tickets can be found

And as part of her promotional efforts, Visitor participated in the
ceremonial opening The Nasdaq Stock Market from New York's Times
Square on May 30.
And Visitor will return to Fox's "Dark Angel" second season,
reprising her role as Madame X.
Michael Dorn (TNG/DS9: Worf) was scheduled to host the Star Trek
panel at the recent Visual Effects Society's A Festival of Visual
Effects (see ODN 6-3). More information about the panel can be found

29-September 8.
Jeri Ryan (VGR: 7 of 9) was scheduled to attend last Thursday's 28th
Annual Vision Awards in Beverly Hills, CA, presented by RP
International (see Awards/Recognition, below).
And Ryan recently attended the Motorola-Hard Candy party in Los
Angeles, CA. A photo by Jeff Vespa of her at the event can be found

At the recent Holodiction convention in Sydney (see Media, below),
Tim Russ (VGR: Tuvok) announced that he is working on the film
"Metal War - Robot Dawn." It is unclear whether he is appearing in
the film, which will combine live action and computer-generated
elements, or if he is working behind the scenes. More information
about the film can be found on its web site at
<http://www.metal-war.com/>, and a report from Russ' presentation
can be found on the TrekToday web site at

Nouri. Filming on the movie, which tells the story of a powerful
machine which begins thinking for itself, ended last month.

In his recent interview with SFX magazine (see Media, below), Robert
Duncan McNeill (VGR: Paris) noted that he was now working on the film
"Infested" with Amy Jo Johnson. "It's a horror film and a thriller,"
McNeill explained. "The premise is similar to 'The Big Chill.' A
bunch of friends get back together for the funeral of a friend they
grew up with, and reminisce about their high school teenage years.
The movie has a killer mystery element to it as well -- the friends
start getting killed one by one."
At the recent Women of Voyager convention (see Media, below), Roxann
Dawson (VGR: Torres) announced that she would direct the seventh
episode of Enterprise. She previously directed two Voyager episodes,
and has expressed interest in furthering her directing career.

In a recent interview with syndicated columnist Ian Spelling (see
Media, below), Armin Shimerman (DS9: Quark) indicated that he would
appear on an upcoming episode of the Sci-Fi Channel series "The
Invisible Man." "I play Thomas Walker, who is deaf and blind but has
a device that allows him to hear and see minimally."
In his June update (see Media, below), George Takei (TOS: Sulu)
revealed that he recently provided his voice for future episodes of
Fox's "The Simpsons" and WB Kids' "Jackie Chan Adventures."
Takei and Casey Biggs (DS9: Damar) will appear in upcoming episodes
of the Sci Fi Channel series "The Chronicle," premiering July 14.
The series features a Pullitzer Prize-winning journalist who joins a
tabloid of questionable taste to investigate the paranormal. Takei
described his role in the series' third episode "Here There Be
Dragons," on his web site as "...a Chinese immigrant father whose
daughter, it is suspected, might be involved with a dragon
inhabiting the sewers of Chinatown." Biggs, meanwhile, will appear
in an episode later in the season entitled "Bring Me the Head of
Tucker Burns," as someone hunted by a headless biker. More
information about the series can be found on the SCIFI.COM web site
at <http://www.scifi.com/chronicle/>.
And Biggs will star in the PAX TV series "The Ponderosa," a prequel
to the (primarily) 1960s series "Bonanza." Biggs will play a younger
Ben Cartwright, the role immortalized by Lorne Greene. The series,
set in 1849, will air on Saturdays at 8:00, premiering with a
two-hour telefilm. PAX has experienced considerable success airing
"Bonanza" reruns on the self-described family-friendly network, and
is hoping to further capitalize on the series' popularity. More
information about the series can be found on the PAX web site at
<http://www.pax.tv/shows/ponderosa/>. (Thanks to Holly Kim Wilson,

Wil Wheaton (TNG: Wesley Crusher) will perform at the Second Annual
Improvathon at Los Angeles TheatreSports on August 10-11. More
information about the 30-hour event can be found on its web site at
<http://www.theatresports.com/>. (Courtesy StarTrek.com)
LightWorX has signed an agreement with Chase Masterson (DS9: Leeta)
to appear as Imogen in its interactive online movie. Masterson would
play one of several futuristic warriors, whom she described as being
"...cocky, caring and trying to adjust to her amazing suit. I am
really excited to be a part of the project and within this new
technology media." Filming is scheduled to begin this week in
England, after being delayed by the foot and mouth epidemic. More
