PATRICK TREK TO TARDIS
STAR Trek legend Patrick Stewart is set to beam across from Star Trek to
Doctor Who.
The 68-year-old actor, famed for playing Captain Jean-Luc Picard, is
expected to take part in the Time Lord’s adventures next year – and could
become a regular character.
BBC bosses have offered Stewart a role as a rival Time Lord called the
Meddling Monk.
As a big fan of Doctor Who, Stewart wants to take the part if his filming
commitments allow it.
But the Beeb is so keen to have him it will save his character for the 2010
series if necessary.
Stewart got to know David Tennant – who plays the Doctor – this summer as
they have both been starring in Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
The mysterious Meddling Monk was last seen in Doctor Who in the 1960s.
An insider close to the Star Trek team said yesterday: “Patrick has been
formally approached to star in Doctor Who and is very keen to do it.”

Come tutte le notizie su DW dei quotidiani. 8-)
Ma forse è più probabile del solito ora che la zia Patty ha recitato con
David in Amleto... sarebbe bello. 8-)
