"Io risolvetti" o "Io risolsi"?

Il Garzanti (www.garzantilinguistica.it) dà come passato remoto di
"risolvere" in prima persona "Io risolvetti".
Con Google invece noto usare con stragrande maggioranza "Io risolsi".
E' talmente alta la differenza che la forma indicata nel Garzanti mi pare
errata.
Voi che ne dite? risolvetti o risolsi?
