I often come across this form for the definite article...that's slang I
suppose, but which one?

Indeed it is O_O many thanks for the links.
Or, that is (in leetspeak) "teh linkz" :-D

Very interesting anyway....besides, according to the Wikipedia the word
"teh" has "grammatical properties not generally applied to the", which
means it has developed separately....

Or the commonest: "è un errore di battitura"
(battitura = the act of typing)

"digitare" is very common nowadays, since people started using
computers; earlier, when typewriters still were the only or main way to
write faster, the verb was "battere".
