in erba !

Es: "The 4th grade class put on their annual musical for their
community..."

Servono
solo, semmai, a farsi una prima idea in mancanza d'altro.

I don't think any of these fit 'saggio musicale' as you define it . A
'musical' is musical play such as 'Oklahoma' , 'Chicago' etc. ; an 'annual
musical' would be the annual production of such a musical.
A 'Musical Evening' , 'Musical Event' , 'School Concert' wouldn't be limited
to performers who've just finished their music course (for instance , a
school concert might well include performers who're not studying music at
school at all) . Unfortunately , if there is a specific term for this , I
can't bring it to mind at the moment .

One possibility is 'Leavers' Concert' . If you look , for example , at the
website of Chetham's School of Music you'll see advertised a 'Piano Leavers'
Concert' , performed by final year students .

Other ideas : the RNCM , for example , has a 'Performance Day' at the end of
the academic year , where its students show off their skills - but they've
not necessarily finished their courses . If it's a short-term course , such
as a Summer School , then it might result in a 'Summer School Performance' ,
like that at the RNCM on July 16th.
(RNCM=Royal Northern Scool of Music).
