..Qualcuno mi saprebbe dire cortesemente cosa vuol dire in italiano?

BG sta per "Brothers Gibb" (i fratelli Gibb), che erano i fondatori del
gruppo.

(C'era anche un quarto fratello, Andy, troppo piccolo
per partecipare al gruppo, ma che ha poi fatto strada

Appunto... non è che sia stata lunga la sua strada, no ?...
Tu stessa dici che nell'88 ha ricevuto una nomination
al Grammy per la miglior "voce nuova" dell'anno, e poi
dici che è morto nello stesso anno...
A parte che probabilmente era il migliore dei quattro,
dal punto di vista del successo i tre fratelli maggiori
lo sovrastano abbondantemente.

In effetti, le cose non stanno così.
Praticamente, cominciata nel '77, la sua sfolgorante (e folgorante)
carriera di cantante pop finì nell'80, dopo di che ripiegò nella TV,
ma pian piano finì nel dimenticatoio; frustrato, comincio a darsi alle
droghe pesanti, finché non ne morì il 10 marzo del '77.

Semplicemente, mi riferivo alla brutta strada che aveva intrapreso
e che lo ha portato alla morte.
Dopo il successo dei primi anni ha avuto una discesa
altrettanto rapida (una meteora, si direbbe adesso).

Pare non sia vero, o almeno così dicono loro stessi: Bee Gees è solo un paio
di lettere, e la connessione con Brothers Gibb non è che coincidenza. Sembra
strano ma io stessa ho visto un'intervista in cui lo hanno detto...
