Okay. Found it!
FSUIPC will cause an FS2000 exit crash if
(a) it appears in the Modules directory before certain other critical
modules, especially GLOBALS.DLL and/or WEATHER.DLL.
*AND*
(b) WindTransitions=No (ie you haven't enabled the Wind Transitioning
facilities).
It'll be fixed in the next Release, which will be soon. Meanwhile, the
solution is to either contrive to make FSUIPC.DLL the last DLL in the
folder
(eg move everything out of the folder to a work folder, then move
everything
EXCEPT FSUIPC.DLL back, then move FSUIPC.DLL back), or enable
WindTransitions.
Since enabling WindTransitions should also avoid some pretty nasty
wind
layer related FS2000 bugs which occur over Amsterdam it might be a
good idea
to do this anyway, at least for European flyers.
