Just two months after the release of "OLD AND NEW SINGLES", the new album by multi-instrumentalist, singer, author and composer BRERA'S KEY is in the works.
The Mastering sessions of the new album "NEW AND OLD SINGLES 752" have begun: fourteen tracks (double the previous album) structured as follows:
7 (seven) new unreleased songs, 5 (five) Covers, of which two in the studio and three Live with the Band ON THE ROAD (formation with MICHAEL BRILL on bass and PINO LIBERTI on drums), and finally 2 (two) Outtake: two different versions of as many songs chosen from the 7 unreleased songs, one of which in an unplugged version and one in Italian. The only single released is "TRIBUTE TO KARL", which will be re-released in a high definition Remaster version: a tribute to the historic percussionist of PINO DANIELE, KARL POTTER, who passed away a few years ago. TRIBUTE TO KARL has already been at the top of the US charts of SOUNDCLICK and REVERBNATION.

THE STORY OF "OLD & NEW SINGLES"

The first 3 singles, "I don't wanna loose myself", "Talkin 'about love", "Crazy life",
they are extracted from the first solo album and re-released in Remaster version, thanks to the Mastering work of ALFA MUSIC STUDIO: known to most for being the most important JAZZ record label on the national scene, for about a quarter of a century. Following the 3 unreleased: "After the Blues", "You'll go ahead", "You are not alone", and the cover "Love is alive" dedicated to Joe Cocker.


I DON'T WANNA LOOSE MYSELF

It is the artist's inner analysis; starts from a glimpse of the darkest moments to ideally arrive at the periods of greater harmony and stability. Everything that is defined in psychology as the analysis of the id becomes a reason for questioning in relation to society (in psychology we speak of id in relation to the superego, that is to say outside) and reflection takes on the contours of confrontation relationship to people who live in situations of inner discomfort. The goal is to look for an ideal solution for everyone, but the conclusion is that the path is still something very personal, within which everyone must be able to find their own right path.
Musically it is the song in which the artist plays all the instruments: drums, bass, guitars, percussion, and lead vocals.



TALKIN 'ABOUT LOVE

It is an excursus of the clichés that revolve around the theme of love. Only after a series of experiences it is possible to find the meaning most suited to one's sensitivity in an inversely proportional way to the myriad of stereotyped definitions that pertain to the usual clichés. Musically it is the piece in which the artist plays: bass, guitars, percussion, lead vocals and choirs.



CRAZY LIFE

It is a list of not at all positive considerations concerning the world of drugs. At least in the intentions there is no moralistic approach but, objectively, there is the description of the damages of each drug which, as such, must not become an extreme conditioning. The text says verbatim: "You only die once, but before that you must have lived your crazy life". In summary it is an indication, for some a suggestion, for others an invitation to experiment, to experience, but avoiding getting caught up in vice, in the yoke of substances that create damage. In addition to the main voice, interpreted in LOU REED style, the artist plays: bass and guitars.


AFTER THE BLUES

Only unreleased track in unplugged version (acoustic) without overdubbing (overdubs), of which the Demo version has been published to leave intact the pathos of the first recording. The Sound is of American inspiration, clearly closer to the Groove of the NEBRASKA album: controversial acoustic record and at the same time a masterpiece by BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, re-evaluated after about twenty years. The text of AFTER THE BLUES interfaces symbiotically with the long period concerning the pandemic, but it also lends itself to further meanings. In fact it is a passage that represents hope; there is reflection on some difficult factors but, in the final analysis, it clearly states that all this represents only a phase, which is a prelude to the return to life. Further meaning of AFTER THE BLUES is found in the Bible. ABRAHAM believed and this was credited to him as justice. But what is the verb of faith? In Hebrew the verb of faith is āmīn, (pronounced "emin"), which means "Amen". In Hebrew "Amen" is the verb of the rock that is stable (in English "Rock"). Moreover, it is the word of the sovereign on the throne, who relies on the symbol of his own power: the scepter. It is therefore the word of safety. (C. G. Ravasi) Contrary to the history of modern music, where everything begins with the Blues, in the Abrahamic tradition everything starts from the rock that is stable: therefore, as we would say, everything starts from "Rock".



YOU'LL GO AHEAD

Track with a troubled path, dedicated to NELSON MANDELA, was written with the composition and solfeggio master Alessandro Borsatti. Published a few years ago on SOUNDCKLICK and remained first in the ranking for a few months. Then it was withdrawn by the artist for editorial reasons, remaining in fact unpublished in the market until today. The arrangements have been changed giving an imprinting halfway between the New Age style and the Choral Ballad, with three different vocal interpretations.



LOVE IS ALIVE

Unique CD Cover. It is a piece by Gary Wright interpreted by JOE COCKER and this version is a clear homage to the Lion of Sheffield: to the greatest interpreter of white Blues & Soul of the last century. Live version made a few years ago and revived in the Remaster version.



YOU ARE NOT ALONE

Unpublished piece, co-written with the author and poet SALVATORE CASUCCIO.
The text describes the mood of someone who has closed a love story and tries to find their inner center of gravity. The voiceover is that of divinity, that is the divine that regenerates and gives hope to those who need it in moments of greatest difficulty.

A soli 2 (due) mesi dalla pubblicazione di "OLD AND NEW SINGLES", è in lavorazione il nuovo album del polistrumentista, cantante, autore e compositore BRERA’S KEY.
Sono iniziate le sessioni di Mastering del nuovo album "NEW AND OLD SINGLES 752" : quattordici brani (il doppio del precedente album) cosi' strutturato:
7 (sette) nuovi brani inediti, 5 (cinque) Cover, delle quali due in studio e tre Live con la Band ON THE ROAD (formazione con al basso MICHAEL BRILL e alla batteria PINO LIBERTI), ed infine 2 (due) Outtatake: due differenti versioni di altrettanti brani scelti tra i 7 inediti, dei quali uno in versione unplugged e uno in italiano. L'unico singolo edito è "OMAGGIO A KARL", che verrà riproposto in versione Remaster ad alta definizione: omaggio allo storico percussionista di PINO DANIELE, KARL POTTER, scomparso qualche anno fa. OMAGGIO A KARL è già stato nei primi posti delle classifiche statunitensi di SOUNDCLICK e REVERBNATION.

LA STORIA DI "OLD & NEW SINGLES"

I primi 3 singoli, "I don't wanna loose myself ", "Talkin' about love", "Crazy life",
sono estratti dal primo album solista e ripubblicati in versione Remaster, grazie al lavoro di Mastering dell'ALFA MUSIC STUDIO: noto ai piu' per essere l'etichetta discografica di JAZZ piu' importante del panorama nazionale, da circa un quarto di secolo. A seguire i 3 inediti: "After the Blues", "You'll go ahead", "You are not alone", e la cover "Love is alive" dedicata a Joe Cocker.



I DON'T WANNA LOOSE MYSELF

E' l'analisi interiore dell'artista; parte da uno scorcio dei momenti più bui per approdare idealmente ai periodi di maggiore armonia e stabilità. Tutto ciò che in psicologia viene definita l'analisi dell'Es, diventa motivo d'interrogativo in rapporto alla società (in psicologia si parla di Es in rapporto al Super io, ovvero all'esterno) e la riflessione assume i contorni del confronto in relazione alle persone che vivono situazioni di disagio interiore. L'obiettivo e' quello di cercare una soluzione ideale per ognuno, ma la conclusione e' che il percorso resta comunque qualcosa di molto personale, all'interno del quale ognuno deve riuscire a trovare la propria retta via.
Musicalmente e' il brano nel quale l'artista suona tutti gli strumenti: batteria, basso, chitarre, percussioni, e voce solista.



TALKIN' ABOUT LOVE

E' un excursus dei luoghi comuni che ruotano al tema dell'amore. Solo dopo una serie di esperienze è possibile trovare il significato più confacente alla propria sensibilità in maniera inversamente proporzionale alla miriade di definizioni stereotipate che attengono ai consueti luoghi comuni. Musicalmente è il brano nel quale l'artista suona: basso, chitarre, percussioni, voce solista e cori.



CRAZY LIFE

E' un elenco di considerazioni niente affatto positive che riguardano il mondo delle droghe. Quanto meno nelle intenzioni non c'e' nessun approccio di tipo moralistico ma, obiettivamente, c'e' la descrizione dei danni di ogni droga che, in quanto tale, non deve diventare un estremo condizionamento. Il testo dice testualmente: "Si muore una volta sola, ma prima di ciò devi aver vissuto la tua folle vita". In sintesi e' un'indicazione, per alcuni un suggerimento, per altri un invito a sperimentare, a fare esperienze, ma evitando di rimanere invischiato nel vizio, nel giogo delle sostanze che creano danni. Oltre alla voce principale, interpretata in stile LOU REED, l'artista suona: basso e chitarre.



AFTER THE BLUES

Unico brano inedito in versione unplugged (acustico) senza overdubbing (sovraincisioni), del quale e' stata pubblicata la versione Demo per lasciare intatto il pathos della prima registrazione. Il Sound e' d'ispirazione statunitense, chiaramente piu' vicino al Groove dell'album NEBRASKA: controverso disco acustico e al contempo capolavoro di BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, rivalutato dopo circa vent'anni. Il testo di AFTER THE BLUES s'interfaccia simbioticamente con il lungo periodo che riguarda la pandemia, ma si presta anche ad ulteriori significati. Di fatto e' un brano che rappresenta la speranza; c'e' la riflessione su alcuni fattori difficili ma, in ultima analisi, dice chiaramente che tutto ciò rappresenta solo una fase, la quale prelude al ritorno alla vita. Ulteriore significato di AFTER THE BLUES e' rinvenibile nella Bibbia. ABRAMO credette e ciò gli fu accreditato a giustizia. Ma qual e' il verbo della fede? In ebraico il verbo della fede e' āmīn, (pron. "emin"), che vuol dire "Amen". In ebraico "Amen" e' il verbo della roccia che e' stabile (in inglese "Rock"). Oltretutto e' il verbo del sovrano sul trono, il quale si appoggia al simbolo del proprio potere: lo scettro. E' quindi il verbo della sicurezza. (C. G. Ravasi) Contrariamente alla storia della musica moderna, dove tutto inizia con il Blues, nella tradizione abramitica tutto inizia dalla roccia che e' stabile: quindi, come diremmo noi, tutto inizia dal "Rock".



YOU'LL GO AHEAD

Brano con un percorso travagliato, dedicato a NELSON MANDELA, e' stato scritto con il maestro di composizione e solfeggio Alessandro Borsatti. Pubblicato qualche anno fa su SOUNDCKLICK e' rimasto primo in classifica per alcuni mesi. Poi e' stato ritirato dall'artista per esigenze di natura editoriale, restando di fatto inedito nel mercato fino ad oggi. Gli arrangiamenti sono stati cambiati dando un imprinting a meta' tra lo stile New Age e la Ballad Corale, con tre differenti interpretazioni vocali.



LOVE IS ALIVE

Unica Cover del CD. E' un brano di Gary Wright interpretato da JOE COCKER e questa versione e' un chiaro omaggio al Leone di Sheffield: al più grande interprete di Blues & Soul bianco del secolo scorso. Versione Live realizzata qualche anno fa e riproposta in versione Remaster.



YOU ARE NOT ALONE

Brano inedito, scritto a quattro mani con l'autore e poeta SALVATORE CASUCCIO.
Il testo descrive lo stato d'animo di chi ha chiuso una storia d'amore e cerca di trovare il proprio centro di gravità interiore. La voce fuori campo e' quella della divinità, ossia del divino che rigenera e dona la speranza a chi ne ha bisogno nei momenti di maggiore difficoltà.
