The Real Don Steele became a legend as the afternoon drive-time jock on KHJ Los
Angeles during the last half of the 1960's. Rock-it Radio Store shoppers have
enjoyed the 1964 aircheck from Portland, Oregon that we've been offering in our
Store. By request, we go back to Steele's beginnings with this broadcast from
March 5, 1962 on KOIL Omaha. It's a fascinating study of a work in progress -
the voice was higher and the delivery was not yet perfected. But the
incredible energy and personality was already apparent. You'll also enjoy the
KOIL newscast! of the day in this recording as well Here are the songs that
you'll hear along the way as the Real Don Steele presented them on that Spring
day in 1962:

Remember, if the show that you want to hear is getting close to the bottom of
the list of radio shows, you should tune in as soon as you can.
These shows to have a high audio quality require a lot of
internet bandwidth and memory. And currently we can only afford the 12 latest
shows online here at Rock-it Radio.
So, when a new show is put online it knocks the oldest one off the internet
server.
Usually a show will at least last 10 days, once it is placed in the archives.
