Job description:

Job Summary

The Client seeks Software Engineers to support modernization of Client's enterprise Java web applications (IMPACT, PEIRS, SSCC, Child Placement Portal, Community-Based Care, etc.). The role involves full-stack development, collaboration with technical teams, and ensuring applications meet Clients modernization goals.

Responsibilities

Define and develop low-level design documents.
Build scalable, high-availability applications using Java/J2EE.
Perform full-stack development: database, services, web, and front-end.
Follow software engineering best practices, coding standards, and design principles.
Conduct code reviews, unit/integration testing, and test automation.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Collaborate with BAs, PMs, developers, and UX engineers.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and modernization planning.

Skills & Qualifications

7+ years professional software engineering experience.
6+ years enterprise-class J2EE development, UI/Front-end experience.
5+ years Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, XML, JSP, Bootstrap, Angular.
4+ years experience with Angular/AJAX/JS frameworks, WebSphere, WebLogic.
3+ years responsive/progressive web apps, UX design (wireframes, storyboards, prototypes).
Preferred: REST/SOAP services, Git/SVN/Maven, Jira, accessibility compliance, Agile, Selenium, SonarQube, CI/CD (Jenkins), WCAG 2.0, DFPS systems knowledge.
