Title: Experienced Android Developer

Duration: 12 Month

Location: Moonachie, NJ

Contract: C2C

Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Perform full stack hands-on mobile development for mobile app design and implementation on Android, including system analysis, test-driven application development, unit test, test automation, code review, and application maintenance support

·         Develop application programming interfaces to support mobile functionality

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design new features

·         Conduct unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

·         Work on bug fixing and improving application performance

·         Remain up to date with the terminology, concepts, and best practices for coding mobile apps

Education/Skills

·         BS/MS degree in Engineering or a related subject

·         Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle

·         3-5 years’ software development experience and Android development

·         3-5 years’ experience with Android SDK, different versions of Android, and working with different screen sizes

·         Knowledge in Swift or Android Studio Java

·         Familiarity with OOP design principles

·         Experience with third-party libraries and APIs

·         Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect to Android applications to back-end services

·         Familiarity with SQLite and Room database frameworks

·         Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

·         Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”

·         Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

·         Familiarity with continuous integration

·         Knowledge with version control systems such as Git

·         Knowledge of different Android application architecture patterns

·         Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
