The engineer in this role will work with a team to build Linux Endpoint requirements and review and score existing and new solutions in the space. The engineer will need to work to understand the Comcast environment for both Cloud and on premise solutions and compliance regulations like PCI.
-5+ years of Linux system admin experience and 2+ experience in Linux security.
-Experience with Endpoint Protection in Linux like Symantec Endpoint Protection, McAffee, Crowdstrike CarbonBlack
-Strong analytical skills.
-Understanding of Linux kernel modules, package management and automation mechanisms (ie scripts, config management etc).
-Ability to diagnose and interpret CPU, memory, disk and network stats from a bare metal and vm point of view.
-Basic understanding of web apps tools.
-Customer oriented.
-Strong written and verbal skills
Nice to have
-Working knowledge of Aide, Tripwire, Arcsight or other security tools.
-Kubernetes, HDFS, Elastic Search.
-Vendor management skills
