Job Title: Automation Test Engineer
Location: Seattle, Washington
Duration: 12 Months
Position Summary/Job Description:
Data based Duties: Primary
* Query and Clone existing databases and database management systems.
* Design and Implement Automated Integration tests for validation of data flow and data integrity.
* Work as part of a project team to coordinate tests around data flow and data integrity and determine project scope and limitations.
* Identify High-risk pre-existing systems and expedite the development of tests to provide Smoke Tests
Services based Duties: Secondary
* Design and Implement Automated Functional tests for validation of REST services.
* Design and Implement Automated Integration tests for validation of interaction between multiple REST services.
* Work as part of a project team to coordinate implementation of testing needs for new applications and services
* Identify High-risk pre-existing systems and expedite the development of tests to provide Smoke Tests
How much time will the resource spend pair programming?
This will vary. I estimate 50% during initial ramp up. 20% once the resource has a good understanding of our systems, engineering and automation goals.

*6-10 years of relevant work experience.
*Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
*Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
*Knowledge of testing best practices and the roles of various testing methodologies.
*Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
Required Technical Experience
Knowledge of Java, SQL, BigQuery,
What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?
Amazon RDS, Google GCP, RestAssured
Will there be a Hacker Rank test Required for this REQ?
There will be code debugging exercise
