Job Title: Database Administrator
LOCATION: Montgomery, AL
START DATE: 08/05/2019
Rate: $40 per hour on C2C.
Position Description:
Manages and maintains all production and non-production databases. Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration. Performs backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configures database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements. This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost. DBA will assist with migrating existing application databases to new servers and setup backup processes. Will also assist with the creation and planning on new databases for new Finance applications. Candidate needs to have experience with maintenance, support, recovery and structuring/builds for new applications. Technical Environment: SQL server with SQL database, Windows 10, Windows Server 2016
Skills Required:
Top 3 Skill Sets: SQL DBA, SSIS Packages, IIS
Skills Preferred:
SQL DBA - experience with database performance management and tuning and Transact-SQL. -SSIS Packages, IIS, Windows services and scripting experience is a plus. -SSRS reporting configuration is a plus.
Experience Required:
3+ years job related experience
Experience Preferred:

Education Required Bachelors or Associates in IT related field.
Additional Information:
In person interviews will be conducted for local candidates. Conferences calls will be conducted for non-local. -Candidate will work onsite in Montgomery, AL. NO remote work will be considered. Possible VPN support for production issues. Overtime only as requested by management for weekend database updates, maintenance or migrations. -Currently 6 month contract position and will convert to the merit system.
