Role: Hadoop Admin

ONLY GC/U.S or Canadian citizens

C2C OR W2/1099

Duration: 12-24 Months

Location: Richmond, VA

Job Description:

4+ years of experience as Hadoop Admin on any of the popular Hadoop platforms (Cloudera, Hortonworks, AWS EMR, Azure HD insight, etc.)
Must be proficient in using tools (or developing scripts) to monitor and alert on wide range of issues on cluster
Must have expertise and ability to keep the Hadoop cluster available and provide optimum performance
Must be proficient in troubleshooting complex infrastructure and performance issues on the Hadoop platform
Mentor client's team on troubleshooting issues on Hadoop platform
Hadoop development is big plus (MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Impala, Phoenix, Oozie, Zookeeper, Sqoop, etc.)
Must have good documentation skills
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
