Network Security Engineer

Location: Trenton, NJ 08625 (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: 12+ Months

 

 

*Local candidates only, Administer Existing Data Center Network Infrastructure, Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Server, Managed Hosting, Cloud, DB, Mainframe, O365, Agencies) to provide networking services as requested by them, Implement Upgrades of Cisco (some Arista as well) Infrastructure in our Data Centers, Defining the logical, physical design of ACI fabric, define spines and leaf’s, implement policy model and security segmentation*

 

 

Job Description:

We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves design and implementation of security solutions, as well as developing and managing DMZ designs, IPSec configurations, and Nexus vPC architecture. This role will be full time and Hybrid in Trenton, NJ

 

What You'll Do:

  • Design and implement security solutions using protocols such as BGP, VxLAN, SD-WAN, SDN, EVPN, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, and Segment Routing
  • Develop and manage DMZ designs, IPSec configurations, and Nexus vPC architecture
  • Apply MacSEC technology to enhance data security
  • Monitor and optimize QoS traffic shaping
  • Work with Cisco Nexus hardware to ensure network reliability
  • Collaborate on projects involving Wireless LAN Controllers, Arista Velo Cloud, Arista Cloud Vision, and RADIUS (as needed)

 

 

What You'll Need Required:

  • Extensive experience with Cisco Nexus hardware
  • Proficiency in protocols including BGP, VxLAN, SD-WAN, SDN, EVPN, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, and Segment Routing
  • Hands-on experience with DMZ design, IPSec, Nexus vPC architecture, and MacSEC technology
  • Knowledge of QoS traffic shaping principles

 

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Wireless LAN Controllers, Arista Velo Cloud, Arista Cloud Vision, and RADIUS

 

Physical Demands:

  • Sedentary work requiring prolonged periods of sitting
  • Ability to use a computer for extended periods, including repetitive typing, clicking, and viewing a screen
