Candidate will be responsible for consulting on best networking practices within a Cisco environment, and working with Cisco Nexus 9k, 7k, 5k, 2k equipment. Data center design and network engineering background are required to be successful in this team.
Task to be performed:
- Deploy solutions and network design implementations in accordance with project timelines.
- Ensure existing network infrastructure and configuration standards are adhered to when delivering projects.
- Define and/or update network standards and policies influenced by the deployment of next generation network technology.
- Deploy and document changes in accordance with enterprise problem and change management processes.
- Work during non-production hours or weekend maintenance windows to deploy enterprise or customer affecting network changes.
- Develop project plans to meet specific business or technology objectives, using existing technology standards and designs whenever possible.
Skills Details:
- CCNP a must
- Experience with Cisco Nexus 9000, Nexus 7000, Nexus 5000, Nexus 2000 is required
- Five years of experience with Cisco network products
- Experience in troubleshooting complex data center environments. Should be able to perform analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems in the Data Center Environment.
- Analysis of highly complex network designs with one of more of the following technologies: Nexus 2k 5k 7k, 9k
- Experience designing and deploying complex solutions
- VPC, Fabric Path, OTV, NX-OS, IP internetworking, LAN Switching, Network Virtualization
- IP Routing protocols (IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
- Strong Communication and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills sets
- Strong analytical skills
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative
- Can handle multiple projects and tight deadlines
- Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field required from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ of experience in Network Engineering is required.
- Subject matter expert experience designing, building and maintaining Cisco three tier data center models (core, aggregation, access) for enterprise networks is required.
Education / Certification: Must be CCNP or higher.
