Job Title: Data Modeler

Locations: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid Role /  Locals OR PST Time Zone can Apply for this Position)

Duration: Long Term Contract

 

Job Description:

·         Bachelor’s degree in related field.

·         7 years’ experience in all of the following tools areas Databricks, dbt, Dagster, Elementary, Data Modelling.

·         Knowledge experience in Banking and or Financial services domain.

·         Experience in data engineering and data modeling for data warehouses and data lakes

·         Experience in querying and profiling data sources

·         Experience using any data modeling tool

·         Strong documentation and communication skills

·         Strong Data Modeling Conceptual Logical Physical 3nF Dimensional at both a project and enterprise level

·         Dimensional Modeling with experience in crafting conformed dimensions that can be used across Business Units

·         Data Modeling Tool such as Power designer Oracle Designer or Erwin

·         Experience working with Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams

·         Understanding of principles and standard methodologies around Data Architecture

·         Ability to write SQL to query data ideally ANSI SQL

·         Solid grasp of Database technologies techniques and trends

·         Experience with Snowflake experience a plus

·         Experience with data governance and meta data management tools and standard methodologies a plus

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Ability to explain Data structures to a nontechnical audience

·         Results oriented with proven ability to work independently

·         Good interpersonal negotiating and influencing skills.
