Job Overview:

·         We are seeking an experienced VBA Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft Office Automation, VBA development, and VSTO-based enterprise application development to support business process automation and enterprise productivity initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing complex VBA macros, Office Add-ins, automation workflows, and integrated solutions across Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint applications.

·         This role requires a technically strong professional who can work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, QA teams, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design automation solutions, support testing activities, and deliver scalable enterprise automation tools aligned with business objectives and operational needs.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

•         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field with 13-15 years of overall experience.

•         9+ years of hands-on experience in VBA development and MS Office Automation projects.

•         Strong expertise in developing advanced Excel Macros, UserForms, Modules, and Class Modules using VBA.

•         Hands-on experience developing and maintaining VSTO Add-ins, Templates, Workbooks, and Office-based automation tools using VB.NET and Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO).

•         Strong knowledge of VB.NET, .NET Framework, WinForms, Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs), Data Structures, and Algorithms.

•         Experience integrating MS Office applications including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint using VBA and automation frameworks.

•         Experience developing enterprise automation solutions, reporting tools, workflow automation systems, and productivity applications.

•         Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), coding standards, debugging, testing, deployment, and support processes.

•         Experience supporting application enhancement, optimization, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

•         Exposure to Python scripting and automation is highly preferred.

•         Knowledge of Power Apps and SharePoint concepts is considered a plus.

•         Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.

•         Experience collaborating with technical architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders across enterprise projects.

•         Excellent communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•         Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate automation and business process requirements.

•         Conduct workshops, requirement gathering sessions, interviews, and business process discussions to understand automation opportunities and operational needs.

•         Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain VBA-based automation tools and enterprise productivity solutions.

•         Develop complex VBA Macros, UserForms, Modules, and reusable automation components across MS Office applications.

•         Build and maintain VSTO Add-ins for Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint using VB.NET and Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO).

•         Develop automation solutions for reporting, workflow management, document generation, email automation, and business data processing.

•         Integrate MS Office applications and automate cross-functional business processes using VBA and .NET technologies.

•         Work closely with architects and development teams to define automation workflows, functional logic, and technical solutions.

•         Support enhancement, migration, optimization, maintenance, and troubleshooting initiatives for existing automation applications and tools.

•         Collaborate with QA teams to define test scenarios, validate functionality, and support SIT/UAT activities.

•         Perform debugging, issue resolution, code optimization, and application performance improvements.

•         Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, process documents, and knowledge transfer materials.

•         Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.

•         Support end-user training, change management activities, and adoption of automation solutions across business teams.

•         Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives within enterprise operations.

•         Ensure project delivery aligns with business objectives, timelines, quality standards, and enterprise compliance requirements.
