Job title - Oracle’s Hyperion Consultant

Location: St. Paul, MN

Experience : 10 + Years

Required Qualifications:

• More than 10 years of hands-on experience with Hyperion (EPM), specifically Essbase and Planning.

• Strong knowledge of Essbase and Planning.

• Hands-on experience with Smart View.

• Deep understanding of finance and accounting principles pertaining to the Hyperion applications.

• Experience with Oracle databases with Linux.

• Understanding of Hyperion EPM architecture

• Ability to work with the network, infrastructure, and database teams in resolving issues related to Hyperion

• Excellent communications skills and ability to work in a team fostered environment

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Scope of Services:

• Ongoing support of the current Hyperion application (v 11.2.4) and related infrastructure.

• Resolving end-user issues and system performance issues.

• Working with Oracle on resolving application issues on the current version (that is unsupported)

• Participate in the Hyperion upgrade as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). The Council is in the process of upgrading the system

to v 11.2.6.

• Helping in the design and development of validation criteria for the upgrade for processes specific to the Council

• Validate the application during and after the upgrade to ensure the system conforms to the Council’s needs

• Help with any FIT/GAP sessions tied to the upgrade as the new version has several new enhancements

• Document the new Hyperion and Essbase enhancements as they pertain to the usage at METC

• Train end-users on any new functionality as needed

• Work with the vendor to remediate any post-production issues resulting from the upgrade

• Help coordinate any infrastructure or other architectural requirements needed to support the new application

• Help with the installation and upgrade of the current and new Hyperion version onto the latest Oracle DB version
