Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Analyst develops and executes test plans to validate the quality level of software under development. Quality Assurance positions work closely with Business Analysis, Product Design and Software Engineering teams as functional/design specifications are designed and developed. They are involved at some level throughout the entire system or software enhancement development life cycle, designing initial testing requirements, writing, communicating and verifying test execution. The QA Analyst role executes and reports on planned tests, reports and manages defects, and regression tests software fixes for new and existing products. Should have a well-developed knowledge of Quality Assurance manual and automation testing techniques.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
• Demonstrate general understanding of and keep current about Healthcare and/or Payer Industry knowledge - 5%
• Act as a resource on the use of Application Architecture & Infrastructure, Product Technologies, Toolsets/Utilities, and Data Analysis & Data Model(s) and recommend solutions to problems as appropriate. – 10%
• Use proficiency in test plan development skills and quality management toolsets/utilities to manipulate systems to perform various testing techniques and implement test automation techniques where applicable. – 10%
• Lead design reviews of test plan and test case quality inspections. – 10%
• Use extensive knowledge and understanding of platform and regression testing techniques, design review and product integration to analyze system impact and troubleshoot test failures. – 15%
• Lead project tasks, providing product testing and enablement expertise across development and QA teams. – 10%
• Demonstrate mastery of writing and executing test plans, verifying results and escalating defects appropriately. – 10%
• Use strong interpersonal skills in all communications with customers and internal staff at all levels. – 5%
• Use interviewing, listening and observation skills to work through challenges with other teams. – 5%
• Train/mentor junior level personnel and provide input to performance evaluations – 5%
• Work independently once provided with direction. Able to balance multiple priorities in a self-managed fashion – 5%
• Collaborate with multi-source resources on work assignments and reviews results as necessary. – 5%
Technical Skills Required; Quality Center/Test Director QTP Any programming languages SI/Agile SDLC SQL language RDBMS SQL, Oracle
