you believe others need to hear our words, forward this message to
them and encourage them to get on our list.

Yesterday in the Senate the Republicans introduced at least part of
their big replacement health care plan, and while deliberately still
vague on details, the basic idea is kick all responsibility back down
to the states, which is to say cripple the so-called Affordable Care
Act (ACA) and replace it with NOTHING at the federal level. This is
like, if you like your Obamacare you can keep it, after we make it
even more expensive.

Why are we not surprised that the shrink government and drown it in a
bathtub crowd just wants to wash their hands of the whole health care
thing?

Why are we not surprised that this is all just code for let the
corporations take over all national power? The Republicans have no
plan, they have never had a plan, and are not interested in
formulating a plan, other than kicking the can to someone else on a
lower level.

Say what you will about the ACA, and we've been saying bad things
about it since months before it originally passed, because we saw
what was coming, at least the numbers added up. They added up to
protecting the fat profits of corporate health care insurers and
providers, the so-called "stakeholders," as if the American people
didn't have a stake in the cost of their own health care, but at
least the numbers added up.

All the pie in the sky Republican promises about covering more people
for less money with lower deductibles was nothing but election
campaigning fraud, a thermometer in every pot. They are not
interested in allocating a dime in the federal budget to cover person
one, even if it would end up saving the government and all of us a
ton of money.

Instead they are just going to rudely toss us all out in the cold,
with the states individually relatively poorly equipped to handle
keeping health care costs down, and with you entirely on your own and
at the mercy of whatever the corporations can gouge out of you.

In other words, the Republican personal responsibility replacement
plan is your money or your life, good luck on your own!

But it doesn't have to be that way even now. Indeed, there has never
been a more propitious time to speak out strongly for single payer,
Medicare For All instead. Combine the bargaining leverage of the
federal government with the lowest health care administrative costs
possible, which is how Medicare operates now, and we arrive at the
only viable improvement.

It is precisely BY speaking out now with our advocacy that we will
empower the next generation of progressive leaders. Isn't it time we
finally get to it?

Let us advocate strongly for what we really want, which is Medicare
for All. Share the action page with everyone you know (social media
