Job Description for L2 Network Security Engineer
ü Should be a certified Network Security Professional with CCNA and CCNP certified (in depth knowledge of Routing & Switching) .
ü Wireless LAN with relevant 6+ yrs of work experience.
ü Knowledge on VLAN, VPN, IPSec tunnel configuration. Basic knowledge on SD WAN (Silver peak & Meraki)
ü Good practical knowledge on Major Network Security Platforms, LAN / WAN and Wireless Devices. (Majorly on Cisco products)
ü Troubleshooting skill on the above-mentioned technology / products is a must.
ü Good communication skill & email writing efficiency.
ü Process understanding (ITIL) , Service Now Ticketing tool.
ü Network Security troubleshooting skills is a must.
ü Should be able to work under job pressure & prioritize depending on the incident severity.
ü Network Security Architectural knowledge with ability to design.
ü Need to coordinate with OEM / Carriers / HCL internal L2/L3 team for any technical escalations for the call closure as per the agreed SLA.
ü Risk assessment before any Change Implementation in the network and participate in CAB meetings.
ü Proof of Concept for new network devices in coordination with the customer network team.
ü Should be able to recommend various options of Network Security.
ü Should be able to make the Network Security documents / diagrams as per customer requirement.
ü Should be able to technically challenge the OEM / Carriers anything related to Network Security on the customer network being managed by HCL.
ü Should be able to propose new Innovations on existing Network Security topology to enhance
ü performance
ü Should be able to work on Network Security Project Related activities based on the Client Requirement and need to provide the technical solution.
ü Should work on shifts and On Call support on weekends
