Good evening!
Today we present to you 2 announcements:
Guest lecture on Silicon Valley EdTech entrepreneurship by Dr Eilif Trondsen Date: Tuesday 22 January 2013 at 16.00 Location: Siltavuorenpenger 3A, room 167, University of Helsinki Organizer: CICERO Learning Conditions: No registration required for this event and everyone is welcome to attend
Eilif Trondsen, Research Director at Strategic Business Insights, will examine a number of different aspects of EdTech entrepreneurship — or what can be called "edupreneuring" — that has suddenly burst onto the scene in the last few years, especially in Silicon Valley, but gradually spreading in other parts of the US and to some extent in other countries.
The 1st Heidelberg Laureate Forum on mathematics and computer science are inviting young researches. It will bring together winners of the Abel Prize, the ACM Turing Award, and the Fields Medal with young scientists from Computer Science and Mathematics. The Forum will span one week and will consist of presentations, workshops, panel discussions and various social events, all of them involving both the laureates and the young scientists, focusing on scientific exchange and inspiration.
The HLF Foundation will provide travel support for a limited number of young researchers. Details will be contained in the acceptance notification. For the others HLF will try to establish contacts with funding agencies in various countries so that support can be asked from national sources.
