(What will the NPW do on that project?)
We are seeking a strong architect/developer used to working on a small team wearing many hats. You will be working a small team of 3-4 developers on enhancements to an existing application for enterprise web / mobile web and phone that provides sales reporting. The successful candidate will have rock solid development skills as this position is 90% development, however each developer also acts as architect and is expected to continuously improve the overall architecture of the application and keep up with the latest technologies. This is a small close-knit Agile team of very senior people with a fast paced and constantly changing environment and requirements. You are expected to come in as the expert Java developer on the team but may be asked to learn new technologies as we push the bounds of what is possible. Our application is used on every OS and device available in the mobile environment. Technology is primarily JavaScript, JQuery, Java, CSS and HTML. Additional skills needed are Struts 2, Spring, AJAX, Weblogic server. The Architect/developer will report to the Development Manager. This is a long-term contract to perm position. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small Agile development team on a world class web based analytics application. The successful candidate will be very sharp and able to learn quickly. In addition you may have VP level and customer facing meetings where you will have to translate user needs into a solid solution, so excellent language skills are a must. Half the team works remotely with daily SCRUM meetings by phone, so the ability to be a self-starter and deliver your stories on time with little direction is a must.
• Prefer some experience with Subversion, Eclipse
• Prefer some experience with Mobile development on Android or iPhone
• Unix (ex, Bash, Cshell, KShell or Pearl) scripting language.
• WebLogic Application Server administration (install & configurations)
