Some other types of technology used in the classroom other than
computer are smart boards, calculators, TV, DVD player, one gun
projector, and digital cameras.

I bring students up to the smart board to work sample problems.
Students love being able to write in different colors with their
finger and I find it keeps their interest more than bringing them up
to the white board.

Calculators are a must for my classroom because we are constantly
calculating voltage, resistance and current readings for Direct
Current circuits.

I use DVD players to show safety videos, supplemental material and I
even throw in some comedy pieces to lighten the mood now and then.

There are so many ways besides the computer that technology is used in
classrooms. We do a lot of group time using the Promethean board.
The power points displayed on it are always exciting and very
colorful, the students respond really well to it. I remember when we
just sat them on the carpet teaching the same concepts but the
students often became board. We also use a lot of interactive
activities that the students love. Other devices that we commonly use
are the card master, digital pens, and all sorts of electronic
educational games.

There are many ways that technology can be incorporated into the
classroom besides the computer. Even though it can be hard to believe,
there was technology before computers. Technology can be used in the
form of TV, DVD, photography (cameras & video recorders), projectors,
smart boards, and more as Donna and George mentioned also. Watching
movies and informational videos using the TV and/or DVD player is a
great way to incorporate technology and instruct. Also, taking
pictures or using pictures to show examples of content that is being
taught.
