Liferay Developer needed for Liferay 6.2 Portal Development converting old portal over to Liferay portal over multiple phases.

 

Responsible for

 

• design, development, testing and implementing Liferay functionality leveraging as much standard components and objects to minimize customizations.

• Create unit tests for code artifacts

• Debug and troubleshoot issues in the code base

• Mentor junior & mid level developers

• Engage with face to face meetings with client leadership in design of customized solutions.

• Responsible for assuring that the system development meets the project objectives (time, budget)

 

Essential Skills Required:

 

***LIFERAY 6.1 or higher experience

**Over 5 years of LIFERAY experience

JAVA

XML

UML

WSDL

XHTML

FusionCharts

UNIX

PL/SQL

Agile Development experience

 

Must Have

• Spring MVC

• Liferay MVC

• Hibernate (Advanced)

• Liferay Upgrade

• Liferay Theme Development

• Liferay Responsive UI

• Ext JS Charts

• Fusion charts

• SOA using Restful and SOAP Webservices

• Load testing using (JMeter)

• Continuous Integration using Hudson

• Maven

• Ajax

• Liferay performance tuning

• JVM tuning

• Shell Scripting

• Agile

 

Good To Have

 

• Vaadin Portlets

• Test Driven Development

• Any Javascript MVC like Angular JS, Backbone JS

• Apache HTTP web server

• Liferay Mobile SDK

 

Well versed in various Internet Technologies, such as JavaScript, Ajax, Webservices, Hibernate, and Servlets

Well versed in application Web Servers, such as IBM WebSphere and Apache Tomcat

Well versed in Oracle 10g or better
