The reason why you have to be there personally in NITK on 14th for registration.
Convocation ceremony is something big and everything has to arranged properly
Main things to arrange:
1.Seating
2.certificate
3. Lunch
Seating:-
Seating will be arranged according to roll no. Students who are absent and couldn't make it can't be left blank so they NEED EXACT number who are attending for arrangements.
And will be called upon stage accordingly.
I asked few seniors IF STUDENTS are reaching on 15th Morning or 14th night after 8pm ,they have to contact prof in charge or Dean Academics and enquire about their quires and request them for any other alternatives .

2. Certificate:-
As per seating arrangements certificates are also will be in same order so its really important that nothing goes wrong or exchange of certificate because of a absentee who had registered online.
Students who can't attend convocation their certificate can be collected by PARENTS in ACADEMIC SECTION.
Parents can attend convocation but will be seated in gallery.
Student has to take care about their accommodation and entry to SJA on time.
If student is abroad and their parents are attending ,then please inform academic section in advance contact was shared in my last post.(comments section)
3. Lunch:-
They need exact no. Of students who are attending for obvious reasons.
