Herbs and the essential oils derived from them have been used from the beginning of human history for different purposes. Their beneficial properties have been applied to mask unpleasant odors, attract the attention of other people, add flavor and aroma properties to prepared dishes, perfumes, and cosmetics, etc. Herbs and essential oils (EOs) have also been used in medicine because of their biological properties, such as larvicidal action, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidant, fungicide, and antitumor activities, and many more. Many EOs exhibit antimicrobial properties, which is extremely important in fields of science and industry, such as medicine, agriculture, or cosmetology. Among the 250 EOs which are commercially available, about a dozen possess high antimicrobial potential. According to available papers and patents, EOs seem to be a potential alternative to synthetic compounds, especially because of the resistance that has been increasingly developed by pathogenic microorganisms. In this review we summarize the latest research studies about the most-active EOs that are known and used because of their antimicrobial properties. Finally, it is noteworthy that the antimicrobial activities of EOs are not preeminent for all strains. Further investigations should, thus, focus on targeting EOs and microorganisms.
For many years, the General Assembly (GA) has allocated funding for programs that provide alternatives to abortion services. Historically, per the fiscal code, DHS was required to administer those GA funds, and has done so through an agreement with Real Alternatives since 1995. Real Alternatives works with a network of non-medical providers, which includes crisis pregnancy centers (also known as pregnancy resource centers). No Commonwealth agency has licensing oversight of crisis pregnancy centers or how they assist pregnant women.
This is just as true in Italy. Rita Camporeale, Head of Payments Systems at the Italian Banking Association (ABI), has said that the pandemic already accelerated the embrace of instant payments in the country and she has pointed to new use cases emerging among SMEs hoping to improve their cash management practices, initially using the service to move money between their own accounts. As more and more businesses connect to instant payments, the pressure to use them in retail environments will surely grow.
The SPAA scheme rule book has just been published and makes for good reading because it was developed collaboratively by the retail payment industry and the users as represented by the Euro Retail Payments Board (ERPB). While there is a lot of work to be done to turn these standards into a business, they are certainly an important stepping stone from open banking on towards open finance and eventually open data. The potential for new products and services built on rich data and instant payments is real and significant.
Greetings to the Forum, I sincerely regret having to give up Boxcryptor. I was really excited about it and it was exactly what I needed. So I'm looking for a similar product but I'm having a hard time finding. in essence, I often have to edit my documents on the go (on smartphones and tablets) and none of the products I've tested so far is able to make changes to my excel sheets (or Google Sheets) directly on the Cloud. Everyone downloads a local copy. I ask you if you can give me an indication of another service similar to Boxcryptor but above all that reflects my needs.
The various Cryptomator, Axcrypt, etc. they don't seem to offer that possibility. Thank you
As for me cryptomator for mac works unstable for now. It has several critical bugs with Microsoft files (Excel and Word) - v.1.7.5. It prevents saving new files and corrupts existing. Not an alternative for me. Not now.
I neither find Cryptomator nor Tresorit nor other products as really convincing, because the security always depends on the strength of the password. In the case of Cryptomator, the encrypted masterkey file (which is protected with your password and contains the crypt phrase and salt for decrypting the actual data content) is stored in the same location as the encrypted files. In the case of Tresorit, pretty much the same functionality is labelled as the 'roaming profile' (which is stored on their server). (No comment on iCloud - the whole point of Boxcryptor was to make this independent of the cloud provider.)
Boxcryptor had the possibility of entirely storing this information locally, and I did not find another product so far that offers this choice (even though Boxcryptor neither did this by default). The approach has admittedly the disadvantage that you if you lose this information, access to your data is truly lost, but personally I would rather accept this risk than having a product or a vendor storing this information (yes, encrypted with my password) on my behalf.
I just don't see the necessity that this should be the case without even offering an alternative approach - which is separately storing the encrypted masterkey and the actual content / data. Again, I understand the design decision, but I am personally not happy with this from a security standpoint.
This is socialism as it has been intended from the 1500s onward, a society that supports and promotes real human development. This is socialism as Marx saw it, created by active conscious protagonists who at the same time re-create themselves. Anyone interested in the current 21st century rebirth of socialism should carefully read and reflect on this important contribution to the debate by Michael Lebowitz.
The game is almost perfect and super fun to me, but they really could have done more with the costumes...I know mods exist but like, how cool would it be if you could play as Dante and choose for him any of the costumes that he had in previous games, or simply for Vergil to have his classic dmc 3 outfit; Nero could also have gotten a dmc 4 costume/skin and even V could have had something cool like a Vergil inspired costume idk...This is basically the only complaint I have for the game (Last two pics are here because I find them very funny lol)
This solution is faster than the emulator but the problem is that my application always crashes, which is not the case in the emulator. This leads me to question: is Android x86 on a virtual machine a stable alternative to the emulator?
Unlike the situation you are describing, my application never crashes on the Android-x86 VM and since the SDK's emulator doesn't support microphone input, it is actually the only way to test my app without having to purchase a real device for each variant of Android.
Also, as you noted, it runs much faster. Contrary to Google's claim for "near native speed", Android's SDK runs extremely more slowly than Android-x86 and it is certainly slower than a real phone or tablet.
It took you only a year and 3 months to get back to me on that. :-)Roger BrainFebruary 12, 2019 at 8:19 amThere is an element of being able to do what you want to rather than what you need to, and so recently having obtained a new (to me) pc a Shuttle XH61v
which I had never heard of before but was ideal to live behind a monitor (tv) to provide access to on line catch up tv (even prime), I decided to run xenialpup
a puppy linux version which boots of the cd and once chrome browser was installed it does exactly everything we want it to do, I also have a cd on my main win7pc just in case I fancy a change and yet another pc which only gets booted into xenialpup, my partners laptop also runs xenialpup, which now that she has got used to it is actually faster to boot and smoother to operate than win7, all machines have win 7 on their hard drives and I use it on my main pc due to the software I have obtained over the years which I know might run using wine on the linux distro but prefer to use them on win as I know what to do almost without thinking, So as Leo properly says it depends what you want to do or need to do, but if you are adamant about an alternative then xenialpup with chrome browser gives you most of what you probably need on a day to day basis
There is a alternative to Windows that is windows but its not quite ready for prime time but with some funding it will make it to Beta. Its called ReactOS and information can be found at as well as a download link for the latest alpha release.
GNU/Linux online help can be very helpful. I use NixOS and when I had a question and asked it they were very helpful and not belligerent at all. I also found this great helpful attitude in the nmh (i.e. mail application that I use) mailing list. linuxquestions.org is another site that is good for friendly helpful GNU/Linux advice. However I do tend to struggle with my problems for a many hours before I ask a question. People in the GNU/Linux community will help you for free in their own spare time but they will often expect you to at least do some homework. This is only reasonable since they do not get paid anything for helping you. If your problem is not worth x of your hours to you then it is often not worth x of their hours to them.GNU/Linux has great customisability and almost everything on it is both open source and free. None of the other alternatives to GNU/Linux beat GNU/Linux on this.
I switched my Dell Laptops to Linux Ubuntu OS last year and have not had any problems as I had with Windows 10. I use Libre Office which works similar to the old MS Word programs. I still have Windows7 on my old Dell Desktop. I use it now and then to access a program then transfer the info I need to a thumb drive and open it on the Linux OS. As for backups on the Dell Laptops with Linux OS, I use a 2TB external USB storage which backs up all of my computer daily. I also copy important files and folders to it manually, just in case, then with a bit of a workaround I can upload my important files and folders to my online Sync, com storage site.
I have lost faith in thumb drive storage devices. I have had many go corrupt in a short time.
I have the Google Chrome compatible with Linux OS loaded which will play videos. Also I can access my Google Web album which stores my pics and videos automatically.
I also have a Chrome Book tablet which is great for watching movies and sports events without background program interference.
So I have found workable alternatives to MS Windows 10. Even my LG phone works to access most of the online sites I use without the MS Windows interference and background Malware programs gobbling up the bandwidth and memory.
My recommendation is to try Linux OS and Chromebook. If it does all that you need it to do, dump MS Windows and get rid of the frustrations.
