If you made it here, it is because you have an interest in Ravenloft and DnD. I am an old timer DM in Ravenloft and since the life made playing together as friends around a table hard, a couple months ago, I decided to build a server in Nwn. I played on many of them, had lots of great times but since I cant play as much as I want, I prefer to DM some events and make my players have a great time in here when I'm on and when I'm not. I really enjoyed building this and getting headaches trying to solve scripting bugs and all !!! I used to build some mods in Nwn2 back in the days and it was great but I had many problems with the editor. I didnt how and where to go and it was messy. So this time, I really worked well, found and built many great scripts and environments, had such a great time building the things written in the ''When Black Roses Bloom'' book made by TSR 20 years ago. I decided to build a persistent server based around it. So, i do not wish to write a novel in here so, here's a few things you might wanna know : (TL;DR) Server features: - I want great role-players to join us, real life friends to play and have fun together.- I dont want more than 6 players at the same time. I will plan some events and drive the story through the characters that the players made. Everyone wants a sweet and smart DM active with his players. It is what you want on table, it it what you'll get in here.- WBRB server is based on the ''When black roses bloom'' book, published by TSR in the 90's. It is one of my favorites PnP games so I decided to build a server about it. It is made before Azrael became a Darklord.- The land is falling apart, rifts are growing bigger, despair is more present.- A monstrous independant crafting system is in place.- An independant Creatures of Reknown system is in place too.(You can learn about them in game, you can also learn about what they have in their backpacks.)- It is a RP server.- You'll start as a lvl 3 and a half. Also, if you want to join us, there is a section in the forums where you can let a message. Let me know !
When the deal closed, the app was in bad shape. Within 3 weeks I had to move the entire operation, including a large database, to new servers. This required my first all-nighter in a while. Here is an excerpt of an email I sent to a friend the morning of September 16, 2011 at 6:47 am:
The first order of business was to move to new servers, which involved overnighting 250GB of data on a USB drive to the new hosting facility, restoring from backup, setting up database replication until the databases were in synch, taking everything offline for 2-3 hours to merge two servers into one, test everything, and flip the switch.
I received a few emails from customers asking why the server was down and I was able to explain that this should be the last downtime for many months. Everyone was appreciative and supportive. But I spent most of the day trying to get the server stay alive for 12 more hours, with no luck. Half of the users had no access to it for the final 12 hours on the old servers.
But it was taking 20x longer. The disks were insanely slow because we were running during their backup window and some of the data was on a shared SAN. By 3am, when we should have been wrapping up the entire process, we were 10% done with the 75 million rows.
Friday Morning, 6:45am: Victory
After some final testing I logged off at 6:45am Friday morning with a huge sigh of relief. I dashed off the email you read in the intro, then headed to bed to be awoken by my kids an hour later. Needless to say had a big glass of wine the following night.
I was one of the admins on the old Gunnertemple fan forum back in the early 2000s and decided to try a new twist on GNR Discord servers set up in the style of a forum and have recently opened a new GNR server.
It is open invite, for all fans 18 years of age or older.
We have a dedicated voice channel for those wishing to play online games with other members.
Please come check it out today.
I am running over ethernet cable into my router on fibre broadband with 850mbps speed. I am able to stream Youtube content to my TV over the same connection but cannot access anything on the RS150b, e.g. Rose store, Rose tube, Qobuz, other than internet radio.
Can you please liaise with the UK distributor, Henley Audio, to discuss buy back of my 150b. The unit is two years old and outside of warranty but it is now no more than an expensive radio and I will need to replace with a streamer/DAC which works.
Can you please advise what security or IP changes you have made either on the 150b software or on your servers, which caused my main router to start blocking connectivity. I would also like to understand if there are any considerations I need to be aware when configuring my main router to allow access to your servers.
Hi I was just curious as where servers will be hosted, I'm in Australia, I understand the player base may not be big enough to have a huge number of servers.
At the end of the day I'll be happy with whatever you give, I'm just curious and couldn't find this answered on the forum.
Wherever the servers a located, players from other continents will have to deal with some sort of delay, which will be mostly notable in end-game 1 on 1 pvp, considering they have stable connection. As for pvm, it shouldn't be a thing.
Any child from either the C.C.D. Program or from Saint Rose School who has received First Holy Eucharist (usually the end of Second Grade) may be trained as an altar server. Altar servers will be trained periodically and commissioned for service to the parish.
Due to the general timing and the commitments of the children who are trained as altar servers, Saint Rose Church utilizes adults as altar servers as well. In particular, adults serve at the altar for Masses of Christian Burial. Adult servers are held to the same standard as all other ministers who serve at the altar.
This ministry is open to all Catholic adults of mature faith who seek to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through the liturgy of the church and who have the time commitment and availability to serve during these liturgical celebrations.
The best-selling dinnerware pattern in the world, the Old Country Roses pattern is practically synonymous with the name Royal Albert and a long-standing testament to timeless style and elegant craftsmanship. Each Piece is decorated with the Old Country Roses' signature motif of burgundy, pink and yellow roses, accented with lustrous gold banding.
Altar servers are an integral part the celebration of Holy Mass at Saint Rose. They minister at the liturgy by leading processions with the crucifix and candles and by assisting the Priest and Deacon throughout the Mass. Yearly training is provided to our servers so that our young parishioners and fulfill the important liturgical responsibilities entrusted to them. Three altar servers minister at each Sunday Mass. 15 Servers are needed each weekend for Sunday Mass. This ministry is open to responsible girls and boys in grades 4-8 and high school students in grades 9-12.
Before the Mass even starts, the altar servers process into the church with the priest. This procession is a very real procession to Calvary, the same way Jesus made his way into Jerusalem before the Last Supper. The server who carries the processional cross into the church is not just walking in to start mass. He (or she) is not just carrying our Lord and Savior to Calvary, but is also carrying the cross each of us are called to carry and following Jesus. The servers who are carrying the candles forward are not just carrying sticks of beeswax. They carry to the altar the Light of Christ. This is the Light that each of us received at our Baptisms, and because of this they carry each of us to the altar as well.
During the Mass the primary role of the altar server is direct the people of the Church towards God. They do this through their body language. Everything from their posture to their slow, deliberate movements is designed to point to God. With their hands pressed together in prayer they point the way towards the altar. When the deacon comes forward to proclaim the Gospel, the candles are on either side as a reminder to us that in our Baptism we are called to bring light to the world. When the servers come down off the sanctuary with the priest and deacon to receive the gifts, they are not just receiving gifts of bread and wine, but are also receiving the offering of our prayers. The Offering does not just consist of the bread, wine, and money from the offering, but the guardian angel of each person brings forward the personal offering of each person in attendance and places them on the altar. Throughout the Eucharistic Prayer, the altar servers continue to point the Church to God through their hands, posture, and attention. As the Mass ends, the servers gather again with the cross and the candles and take the Light of Christ and the message of the Gospel, leading the people of God, and follow Jesus out into the world to spread His Word.
Anyone know a good place to buy it that doesn't require me to take out a loan to buy it? I used to buy it at SMR for a really great price. It was the best and smelled just like a box full of red roses. Plain geranium won't work. It must be rose geranium. I tried the bourbon geranium and it just is no where near the same as the rose.
Can you blend your own Candy? I know Geranium is expensive but I think Bulk Apothecary does 33% off your first order. Or you can sign up with some companies as wholesale and get up to 50% off. I don't know about Rose prices.
I use the rose geranium with gypsy rose FO to make rose scented soap. I have tried other geraniums and they simply don't work. Plus, the addition to adding rose geranium to the gypsy rose makes the deep red rose scent really pop. Every other combo I have tried just doesn't smell the same or sell the same. Everyone loves my rose soap, its a big seller for me so I have to try.
