Therebellious farmers were of Scotch Irish decent. We believe they would be proud that the New Mingo Creek Society is adding a touch of the homeland with peated barley, creating an earthy smooth bourbon.

The owners of our distillery believe the desire for liberty is the motive behind all disobedient spirits. It is the spirit of liberty that has driven the farmers, miners and steel workers of Western Pennsylvania; from the Whiskey Rebellion to the Homestead Strike to risk their lives and fortunes fighting for justice. Aged for at least 3 years.

We've heard that the farmers of the Mingo Creek Society left the area at the end of the Rebellion and moved to Kentucky where they began to distill whiskey from corn. We are bringing bourbon home, using locally grown bloody butcher corn, local wheat, and deeply charred new oak barrels.
