Reiki Symbol Explanation

Today you may come across many different forms of Reiki. When the
Reiki attunement is performed the energy of the attunement makes the
Reiki symbol work as a stimulus for channeling a particular kind of
energy which the symbol represents and which is present during the
attunement manifests as a response. Let us have a look at the 4
commonly used symbols used in Reiki to facilitate healing and raising
positive energies.
? Cho Ku Rei This is the symbol of Power. It is used to facilitate or
increase the flow of Reiki energy. The energy will flow without using
it too but if this symbol is used in conjunction with channeling the
Reiki energy the flow is said to increase manifold. Use this at the
start of a healing session or anytime that additional power is needed
especially for healing the physical body.
? Sei He Ki This is the symbol that is used to heal the emotional
self, for protection and purification and for achieving balance. It
works at the subconscious level targeting the root cause of the
physical disease which is often rooted in the subconscious mind/
emotional body or the conscious mind/mental body. An imbalance in the
mental or emotional patterns manifests as a physical disease and with
the power of Reiki a balance between the right and left brains can be
achieved. This symbol is used to heal relationship problems and the
subsequent issues that arise from them. This symbol also helps in the
healing of mental and emotional disorders like phobias, depression,
anger, nervousness and such. It is used in conjunction with the Power
symbol for purification purposes and for aiding emotional releases. It
also affects the conscious and subconscious mind so is used as memory
enhancer.
? Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen This symbol transmits Reiki energy across time
and space. Using this symbol you can send Reiki across the room,
across town, to other parts of the country or anywhere in the world.
Distance is no barrier. You can also use this symbol to bridge time.
You can send Reiki into the "future," where it will store up like a
battery, to access at the time you or others will be needing it.
Likewise, you can send Reiki into the "past," to heal issues from
earlier in this lifetime, or to past life issues that affect you or
others now.
This is the symbol used for the transmission of Reiki energy across
time and space. This is commonly used for sending Reiki energy for
distance healing purposes or also to bridge time and thus for healing
past life karmic problems. You can also use it to store Reiki energy
for the future and use it like a battery.
? Dai Ko Myo
This is the Master symbol and is the Light of the Soul, the Buddha and
of the Awakened Heart. It is used for healing the soul and signifies
inner wisdom and knowing.
