Please accept my humble obesiances with all Glories to our beloved Spiritual Master Srila Prabhupada!
With due respect to all devotees of the Lord, I would like to share an incident that happened at Seattle Alki Beach Rath Yatra yesterday.
On Friday my wife and three kids decided to drop me off to work and visit to Sammamish Vedic Culture Society (Hare Krishna Temple) and render some service in kitchen to make Ekadashi Prashaad and to prep for Rath Yatra. Starting from 9:00 Am till 7:00 PM they continued to help until I came. I was happy to see them engaged in some service, which they also like to do every now and then.
On Saturday we had a program at our aashram in Snohomish thus couldn't go to Rath Yatra, which was for Saturday and Sunday. So early Sunday we all got up and went for Rath Yatra in a very happy mood to go there and serve in whatever capacities we can. Per my Spiritual Master’s orders I took some “ON CHANTING HARE KRSNA” books and “LIFE AFTER DEATH” in my backpack. I am not able to do much book distribution as much as I should due to my family life and kids and work etc but still I try to hand out Srila Prabhupada’s original books to whoever I see and wherever I visit for any program specially some religious kirtan where people are in a little sane state of mind. My intention is not to bring people into anxiety but to simply carry out orders of Srila Prabhupada, who keeps reminding me to distribute books.
Anyways so I was there – didn’t start book distribution right away and started helping in one of the food stalls – next to where my kids were helping, and next to where my wife was cooking. So after 3 hours, we decided to take a break and eat something and we had some prashaadam. After prashaadam, kids and wife went back to their stalls to assist and I could not stop myself distributing “ON CHANTING HARE KRSNA” books to the people who were visiting there. Since I was being stopped from doing book distribution (same book) an year ago in same festival by saying that the City doesn’t allow us to do any literature distribution to this festival, as they would not get any grant (if i do this) from city etc etc..(it was another way for them to convey to me to stop book distribution). Anyways last year I said fine I won’t do it and I continued rendering other services.
So this year I thought not to bring anyone into anxiety and will not do it in the festival area. And I stood right outside the entry exit area of the festival and started distributing the same books to people. Some took it some did not. Infact one Mexican person named Jose approached me and asked me what’s this (books in my hand). I explained briefly to him about four problems of life and he immediately got interested and asked me if he could also distribute some books with me. I happily gave him a bunch of books and he also started distributing books with me. He told me that he doesn’t even know what’s written on top cover and asked me what is “Krsna”. Anways he continued doing books with me. And in the mean time Seattle Iskcon president Naresh (Nand Suta Das – an Indian body) approached me with the very aggressive way and started asking me what I am doing, which books are these? I told them these are Srila Prabhupada Books and not mine or yours. Being an India body myself, I know this person but I was so shocked to see his attitude after that. He took one book from my hands and started reading and started looking for some fault (some Ritvik stamps or info etc..) in it. Althought I had no intension to propagate any Ritvik philosophy there, I never did. He pointed me to the website address the book was pointing to, which was “Krishnabooks.org”. Krishna witness, that was the first time he pointed me to that address on the page. Before that I wasn’t even aware that that site address is non Iskcon site and was considered a Ritvik site. Anyway even if I did know this, my intension was not to direct people to any site, I was very humbly trying to direct people to Srila Prabhupada and Krishna

In fact I was telling everyone that Iskcon in Sammamish have many festivals like this and everyday programs and they should come to the “ISKCON TEMPLE” not to my house or not to any other temple.
So this person Naresh, started crushing that book and literally, in a very aggressive and ruthless way, said to me “Get the hell out of here and take your shit (he meant the books) out of here and if I want to distribute this Ritvik shit then dare to conduct your own festivals” He continued, that I am not welcome in the temple anymore and banned from temple. I was stunned and shocked to see him in this aggressive demonic attitude. I could never expect someone to behave with me like this in public specially over on distributing books, which are written and authorized by Srila Prabhupada Himself. It was His (Srila Prabhupada’s festival, these all Iskcon temples are His temples, on what authority He (this so called authority of Temple - Naresh) ban me coming to the temple? He started crushing the book and I asked him to give me the book but he did not.
Momentarily I considered it my insult, so I tolerated it. And left place to call my wife and kids to wrap up and leave. My family was also so shocked to know about this whole episode, and wanted to speak with this fellow. But then I told her not to argue with him, as then I could not have tolerated him saying anything to my wife or else I would have dug his grave right there. By then I also realized that since it was not just my insult, it was Srila Prabhupada’s insult and His books insult, so I decided to at-least say something to him. So while Rath Yatra was passing he was starring at me as if he will burn me right from his eyes. I took Lord Jagannath’s final darshan and apologize for this whole episode due to my book distribution. I called him and he very aggressively approached me (as if he is about to kill me) and I told him it’s not his temple or his dad’s temple that he can ban me to come and he then retaliated and told me that he will make sure that I don’t enter the temple. Meanwhile people intervened and my wife pulled me away to leave that spot.
I left the place with my family never to return to this place where such demons are becoming authorities and preventing some innocent persons, who are trying to make some meaning out of their lives, and sincerely trying to follow their Spiritual Master’s orders of book distribution. The beautiful Deities “Shri Radha Nila Madhava” were the only reason we used to go to the Temple, but I guess, that’s it for them also. I had never preached “Ritvik” philosophy to any one in that temple and always used to go there, with my entire family to serve, and still they have so much hatred for me and my family – I could not believe this.

Devotee (4): We were thinking about how everyone knows about Krsna now. In the United States they didn’t know before, but when they see this little picture on the book, they all know, “That is Krsna.” We hand them the book, and we say, “We’re passing these out.” They say, “Oh, that is Krsna.” …(Book distribution) is so successful that everyone has learned about Krsna.
Prabhupada: Oh, as soon as they see the picture, they understand it is Krsna.
Devotee: When they see the book they think, “Oh, the Hare Krsna devotees. I saw them on the street.” When they see the picture of Krsna on the book, they think of the devotees chanting.
Devotee: Sometimes, Srila Prabhupada, people travel from one airport to another, and they’ll get a book in Chicago and then they’ll come to Atlanta and we’ll approach them to give them another book, and they’ve already gotten one book in Chicago. And they ask, “How many of there are you around the world?” Because everywhere they go, in every airport they are getting books. So they think that there must be millions. They think that there must be millions of Hare Krsna devotees, because everywhere they go they’re being approached to take a book.
Devotee: I once asked a boy in Washington temple how many devotees he thought we had, and he said, “Oh, I cannot guess.” And I said, “Make an educated guess.” And he said, “Well, I’ve seen you here and I think maybe two million.” (laughter) And I said, “Three thousand. Now just see the potency of Hare Krsna. You’re thinking we’re two million, and we’re simply a handful.” He became a little convinced. So our books make us millions. People think we are millions because of the books.
Prabhupada: Push this on. Then our movement is successful. All Americans should have at least one set of books. That is not very difficult for them, to purchase one set books. But it will be a good asset for them if they keep and see sometimes. Any line he reads, he will get transcendental knowledge. Anyone who reads Krsna book, he will become Vaisnava. That’s a fact.
Devotee: But we have no attraction for Krsna. You are attracting us to Krsna.
Prabhupada: (laughing) Actually Krsna is attracting. Like one magnetic stone is attracting one piece of iron, and then another, then another.
Devotee: We are becoming happy by distributing your books.

Let me offer my respectful obeisances unto Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who personally tasted the nectar of ecstatic love for Krsna and then instructed His devotees how to taste it. On this Sri Rama told the dog:- "Tell me fearlessly what I should do for you. The king comes to be recognized as a refuge and dispels all fear. (14-15) Having realized this, O Rama! listen what you have to do for me. I'm sorry that you had such a disturbing experience with the pseudo-
ISKCON temple. It is heartbreaking to see these demons inhabiting the
structure established by our beloved spiritual master. If you were
wondering if it possible to work with these people, you certainly got
your answer. We got ours just giving some young, stranded book
distributors a ride back to the temple from the airport about 11 years
ago. They made it plain that Srila Prabhupada's disciples were not
welcome--and we didn't even know about the book changes or Srila
Prabhupada's instructions regarding initiations at that time!
Billy says, "hi" and hopes you and your family can come for a visit
soon. He would like to turn wood with you and you could visit our
cow, heifer and little bull, Makani. We would love to share prasadam
grown mostly from our garden. Please give my best to Noble and the
girls.

My name is Mahatma dasa. I questioned about the false gurus in 1978 and was physically grabbed and threatened with severe violence. I am the first ritvik initiation ceremony person in Srila Prabhupada's movement in May of 1986. In 1996, I was the victim of a sting type of operation by "ISKCON" leaders that caused me to end up in jail at great cost, pain and horror to myself and my wife. Thanks to Lord Krishna the charges were dismissed. I should add that I pioneered the Srila Prabhupada festival and the Prabhupada family reunion.
Thank you very much for sharing your experience and acting in a non violent way in defense of Srila Prabhupada and his bhakti and that of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. I hope that you now totally realize that the bulk of "ISKCON", is actually not the real ISKCON, but a violent destructive cult. I hope you now totally neglect this violent cult or that you may take an active role in exposing them in a non violent and intelligent way. Srila Prabhupada said., "expose or totally neglect."
I am hoping that you may contact me. Like minded devotees of same philosophy and experience as us, should give up all material sentimentalism and should interact and associate with each other as much as possible with a cooperative spirit and service attitude, so we may give each other inspiration and strength to serve our spiritual master. One of the issues or points I have found should be addressed, is that there is some lack of unity, cooperative spirit and service attitude among Prabhupadanugas. We tend to either be too much engrossed in our own little world of material work, family, society etc, with lack of proper KC, or at times, we lack patience and tolerance of each other and thus this makes it more difficult for us to be strong in Srila Prabhupada service as he wants us to be.
My wife and I organized a very successful Ratha Yatra festival in 2007. The local Mayor, other community and religious leaders attended. Around 1300 came to the festival and 700 plates of opulent Prasada were distributed. Many original books were also distributed. I openly lectured at this Ratha Yatra about guru tattwa and the veda vata ratas (rascal self made "Gods").
This year, we are againt projecting a very nice festival of India and Janmastami celebration on Saturday September 4th and Sunday September 5th on labor day weekend. In addition to asking you to please contact me so we can share our experiences in more detail and try to make friends, I want to invite you and your family to contemplate in attending out September festival. At our festival, you can distribute any original Srila Prabhupada books and you can OPENLY DISCUSS any topic no matter how controversial it may be.
Plane tickets are very cheap now and you and your family are more than welcome to stay in our home as long as you need. We have 4 furnished empty rooms that you can use at no cost. My wife is also a master cook! :)
If I sound a little desperate for association, I am! :) I really miss the service attitude and cooperative spirit and tolerance and patience among Prabhupadanugas. It is not easy for my wife and I to do the festivals we are doing very much "alone." I am sure this "lonely", is mainly due to my lack of KC, but I understand that the philosophy is to reach out to give our association and also to always be ready to accept the devotional association of like minded devotees, thus in this way, we can all share, relate, make friends and give each other more strength in our devotional service to Srila Prabhupada.
So I am hoping you will contact me ASAP, so we may discuss all these matters and that you will take my invitation to you and your family seriously, so the possibility of us greatly rejoicing at our humble festival, may be a reality in the highest of Srila Prabhupada consciousness as possible. I would like to thank you very much for your effort for gathering me so much important information. Yes, I can go after him and make him realize his folly - but before that we thought to talk about it with Hari Vilas Prabhu - President of Seattle Iskcon temple.
My wife spoke with some temple authorities and our other community members about this episode. Everyone is condemning this heinous act. She also spoke with Hari Vilas Prabhu as well. Over the phone he was so apologetic to my wife and was very humbly asking for apologies on behalf of Naresh (the same fellow). He mentioned that Naresh has crossed his limits and he should not have done this to us. Hari Vilas Prabhu understands that we have been serving this temple for last 10 years and have never done anything against the rules and regulations of the same temple. We have never distributed any literature and preached Ritvik philosophy to anyone which could cause disturbances among their minds. Although people there kept asking us “Are you initiated?” “Who is your Guru Maharaj” “O so you are Ritvik?”. And I had been giving them my honest answer – because there is nothing to hide and feel sorry about. Each time after this answer, their attitude would change (but I cared not).
Also on one episode – this same fellow naresh (6-7 years ago) asked me that His guru romepad maharaj is coming and I should get initiated from him and if I have any questions I can ask him. He even sent a letter to romapad and cced me a copy introducing myself as nice devotee, who had been coming to temple regularly etc etc. Romapad replied me back asking if I have any question I could ask. I did not realize that that was all trap that these guys lay out for innocent people like me and my family. But somehow by Srila Prabhupada’s and Krishna’s Grace I did not fall in that trap, which caused him great anxiety. Ever since his attitude towards me had changed – like ignoring my presence and not responding to my obesiances etc etc.
Just couple of days before this Rath Yatra incident, I was at temple to pick my family up and I had a chance to do Kirtan for 2 hours including Gaura Aarti. And he appeared in temple and saw me doing the kirtan – that might have triggered his enviousness for me, which busted out on Rath Yatra.
Anyways, Hari Vilas Prabhu said he will talk to naresh and we are still welcome to temple as naresh has no authority to ban us. He also offered to come and visit us and resolve this in person. So we invited him to our aashram tonight to discuss this matter once for all. If it’s for me – I don’t really care who offended me, but it’s not that – this naresh guy is so puffed up, he thinks he is the owner of this temple and can do whatever he likes to do and can call Srila Prabhupada’s books (“…hit”) and rip His books. I want to teach him a real good lesson. We will request His public apology in front of Deities, in front of Srila Prabhupad and in front of public. I care less if asks apology from me. I doubt he would do that but still let’s see what Hari Vilas Prabhu has to say….
Over all – Krishna made arrangements for me and my entire family to see their real faces now. I hope the face we are going to see tonight is real. And that too I leave it up to Krishna. We will be talking in front of my most beloved Shilas and Srila Prabhupada’s temple in our aashram – He better speak the truth.
So once again, I very humbly thank you for your encouragement and support on this matter. This incident has brought more determination in me to fight with these evil minds. And Srila Prabhupada’s book distribution program SHALL CONTINUE regardless of these dogs barking….

The discussion went for 2 hours and the conclusion was there were afew things he agreed on and afew things he did not.
At first he humbly apologized me on behalf of Naresh (Nand Suta Das) for naresh's demonic behavior. He himself called this fellow demonic and told me that he has to deal with him daily and we couldn't believe what he has to go thru to dealing with this guy in temple's daily affairs. He simply condemned the act of naresh and told that he has lost it and that he has gone way beyond his limits. now HV really meant it or not? I don't know but let's accept that he did...
I did not feel good at all to have Hari Vilas Prabhu apologizing on naresh's behalf and I told Hari vilas Prabhu to have naresh apologize to Srila Prabhupada and in front of deities. Not sure this would happen but Hari Vilas Prabhu said that it would.
Me and my wife were firm not to start the Ritvik discussion with him but when he started then i couldn't hold back the truth. so the discussion went on and on about ritvik initiation and accepting Srila Prabhupada as your spiritual master. That was then we did not understand each other. per him you need a living guru who is in parampara and per me i asked him that Srila Prabhupada is still living and can do everything that He could when he was physically present here. If we can offer our aarti, our offerings, flowers, incenses etc to Srila Prabhupada's deities then that means He is right there so what is it that He can't do (only initiation???). Anyways, this discussion could have gone way deeper but my wife is good at this and she kept pulling us back on the surface. There were many quotes/arguments (in a cool headed way..) back and forth and we both just couldn't understand each other.
Overall, i am so glad that this happened. HV promised that Naresh will apologize. I also told HV that i don't need his apologies and as long as he apologizes to Prabhupada and if he really means it then I don't have any grudges against naresh.
Although our relation with temple and temple members have changed - yet HV prabhu has invited us humbly to ISKCON temple and to the programs. We may go there once a year or so just to let Naresh realize his false authority but other than that I am more firm and dedicated to do our own regular sunday feast programs and start the book/prashaadam distribution program in a regular basis and try to do some service right from my aashram.
Please pardon me if unknowing i have agigated someone's mind out there and made any offences against any....

Srila Prabhupada and Krsna, so if the devotees in the North part of
the state don't want to participate, that is their loss, in our
opinion. The materialistic civilization is crumbling before our eyes,
and the devotees there seem oblivious and unwilling to get themselves
into a position of strength for the coming changes.

Hare Krsna. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. PAMFO I hope your sadhana and bhajan are going well. Right now, I don't have computer access, other than a rare occasion, so it is only now that I am seeing your email. Sadly the ISKCON "in-charges" have created by their deviations such a hatred between devotees; these leaders giving so much trouble to very sincere devotees, who gave so much of their lives in service to Srila Prabhupada, and still have desire to continue to serve Srila Prabhupada's desires and instructions.
Srila Prabhupada told that the trouble would not come from outside, but from within, and so we are seeing this; people in positions of leadership who have turned Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON into a deviated ITS GON/ITS A CON or I(nvisable)SKCON.
In the ultimate end, Srila Prabhupada knows our individual desires to serve His Lotus Feet, and it is this which will be considered.
I hope all is going well. May we be safely situated under the shelter of Srila Prabhupada's Lotus Feet, Those of our Guru Varga, the Vaisnavas, and Sri Sri Radha and Krsna. With love, B. Me and my entire family respect you and Billy Prabhu and appreciate how you are trying to serve Prabhupada's orders and your Deities and taking care of so many souls in your aashram. Right when you sent out an invitation email I spoke with my wife and kids and we all decided that we would definitely visit you some time, as we loved to see that beautiful place of yours once again. I had a wonderful time with Billy and appreciate him giving us a tour of his wood working zone...I thank you very much for inviting us again.
To me and my wife it's quite simple, we would like to lead a simple life while raising our children in a sane situation and while serving Srila Prabhupada and Krishna and trying not to offend anyone in any circumstances.
Once again i beg your forgiveness for not responding to your email right away. but you both with all the souls living in your aashram live in our hearts forever....

Therefore a devotee is always distinct from the karmīs, although the karmīs may dress like devotees. As confirmed in Bhagavad-gītā (3.9), yajñārthāt karmaṇo ’nyatra loko ’yaṁ
karma-bandhanaḥ. One who works for Lord Viṣṇu is free from this material world, and after giving up his body he goes back home, back to Godhead. An actual Vaiṣṇava is very pleased to accept another Vaiṣṇava who is bestowing the Lord's mercy. A mundane person in the dress of a Vaiṣṇava should not be respected but rejected. This is enjoined in the śāstra (upekṣā). The word upekṣā means neglect. One should neglect an envious person. A preacher's duty is to love the Supreme Personality of Godhead, make friendships with Vaiṣṇavas, show mercy to the innocent and reject or neglect those who are envious or jealous. There are many jealous people in the dress of Vaiṣṇavas in this Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement, and they should be completely neglected. There is no need to serve a jealous person who is in the dress of a Vaiṣṇava. When Narottama dāsa Ṭhākura says chāḍiyā vaiṣṇava sevā nistāra
payeche kebā, he is indicating an actual Vaiṣṇava, not an envious or jealous person in the dress of a Vaiṣṇava.

I'm sorry, apparently my ego over-reacted. We're looking forward to
having you all come for a visit soon. As it turns out, we volunteered
to have our monthly meeting with our Self Reliant Community group at
our farm, and then the meeting (always the first Wednesday of the
month) turns out to be Janmastami. So our group will probably get
more opulent prasadam than we usually serve, and it should be a nice
event. Hopefully there is no offense in serving prasadam to people
who aren't fasting anyway.
We made puris for our cooking class last night, and I thought of
