Dear Prabhus, Hare Krishna! Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Let's try to be responsible Internet journalists so as not to be an embarrassment to Srila Prabhupada. To unintentionally make a mistake for all the world to see is one thing, but to not correct that mistake when the mistake is pointed out, is a whole different ball game! It represents the difference between responsible and irresponsible Internet journalism!
http://news.iskcon.com/node/2837 mistakenly stated "Jay A. Fernandez for Reuters." I thought that this statement was a bit of an embarrassment to Srila Prabhupada since every other news website got it right, so I wrote to them about it. They then changed it to the correct version: "Jay A. Fernandez for The Hollywood Reporter." :-)
I wrote to them on May 16th stating that http://www.palaceofgold.com/directions.htm#from_west should say "I-70" & "I-470," not "1-70" and "1-470." I immediately got a reply stating that they would try to fix it, but nothing has been done! :-(
I wrote to them on June 21st stating that http://www.harekrsna.com/sun/editorials/06-10/editorials6201.htm should say "As reported by Linda Moulton Howe," not "As reported by Linda Moulton" and that it was "Blowout Preventer," not "Blueout Preventer." No response, but they did correct the 2nd error. I wrote to them again on June 22nd again pointing out the 1st error, but still no response, and it still hasn't been corrected. :-(
It seems that everybody
under the sun knows that the reporter's name is Linda Moulton Howe; everybody, that is, except "The Sampradaya Sun!"
