Subject: Srila Prabhupada stotram by Ananta Ram Sastri

This stotram was composed by Sri Ananta Rama Sastri was a vaishnava Sanskrit scholar who was requested by Srila Prabhupada to assist Him in the translati9on of the Srimad Bhagavatam commentaries of the various acaryas.  it was composed and first sung directly in the presence of Srila Prabhupada at Sri Candrodaya Mandira, Mayapur Dhama at Gaura Purnima just before daily Guru puja in 1976.

In late 1976 Srila Prabhupada stated to a Gurukula teacher in Vrindavana that this stotra should be recited daily, and that by such recitation the children and devotees would develop strong faith [nistha] towards Him. Yasoda nandana dasa

Śrīla Prabhupāda Stotram
(Composed by Ananta Dasa Sastri)

Ananta Dasa Sastri was a disciple of Srila Prabhupāda. He used to travel with Srila Prabhupāda in India and he was in the Sanskrit department assisting Srila Prabhupāda in translation work. He compiled five slokas which describe much of Srila Prabhupāda’s divine character and his divine mission also. Prabhupāda very much liked these five slokas. We used to sing them every morning before Guru Puja by his vyasasana, so some of you may remember them.

Hare Krishna,
please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Is there any senior devotee who could recite this Stotram and send me the Audio File, so I can create a nice Video for youtube?
There is only a recitation of Guru Paduka Stotram by Adi Shankaracharya with beautiful pictures of Srila Prabhupada available:

To make learning of this important prayer more easy, I would like to create a youtube video for this purpose.
All you need is a good microphone and the ability to recite Sanskrit.
Sound recorder is already installed on every Windows PC.

As a new devotee I never heard of this prayer before and would love to hear it daily with the help of an audio recitation.

Thank you

Dear Bhakta Robin
Please accept my pranams
All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Within the next few months a proper recording will be done based upon the original tune chanted by Ananta Ram Sastri and approved by Srila Prabhupada in late 1976 in Vrindavana.

With regards

Yours In the service of Srila Prabhupada

HariBol Dear Yasoda nandana dasa,
please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

I just wanted to know how far the progress of the Mp3 recording is going?
I mean it doesn't need to be perfect. Something is better than nothing.
So many senior devotees have left their bodies this year.
You can also send me a preliminary version and leter are more perfect recording, before this knowledge about this Stotram is lost.(you seem to be the only senior devotee aware of this, I never heard about this from anybody before)

Hari Bol,
please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

I created a first version, since no senior devotee came forward with a mp3 recording yet:

The Stotram posted here is without diacritics so in case somebody knows the correct diacritics he should post an updated version for better pronunciation.
Since in Kali Yuga nobody is trained perfectly, devotion is more important than perfect sanskrit pronunciation.

As far as adding the diacritics goes, you might want to try copy/pasting it into the 1st text box on <http://pratyatosa.com/?P=7c>, and then clicking the “4. AddSanskritDiacritics” “Go” button.

Each word in the text is compared to a list of 94,000 Sanskrit words! These words were copied from the VedaBase. Therefore, a Sanskrit word that is not in the VedaBase at least once will not get changed.

Also, compound words such as "gaura-līlā" are treated as one word. Therefore the way in which words are compounded must be consistent with the VedaBase.
