Sameissue here. After a lengthy discussion with Katherine, the separate indi driver for the starbook was implemented in version 1.4 of the asiair software. Consequently, after that update, I could control the mount correctly. However, in the later updates something went wrong and it is again not possible to control the Vixen SWX mount (it is not possible to connect the starbook to the asiair, nor via the LAN input of the starbook connected via a router to the wifi, and also not when connected directly to the LAN input of the asiair).
Indeed, on my laptop with Skysafari which has the Indi driver for the Starbook installed, the control of the Vixen mount is no problem at all. I use a router address 192.168.31.1 which is connected with a lan cable to the starbook on address 192.168.31.50. Skysafari connects to this same address of the starbook.
Just to be sure, I am using the Original (old) starbook, not starbook ten. The Indi driver for starbook 10 is incorporated in the standard Indi driver package. The Indi driver for the Original starbook has to be installed separately (which you did in the update from 1.3 to1.4, it than was indeed possible to connect thr starbook to the asiair. But in all updates of the 1.4 software it was not anymore possible to connect. Thus, I up till now use Kstars which connects to the Vixen mount via the starbook and has perfect guiding via st4 output of the asi290 to the st4 input of the starbook.
Firstly: Lan cable between asiair and starbook. Switch on asiair in hotspot mode, switched on starbook. Starbook shows address 169.254.1.1. Does not change by unplugging lan cable. Using this address 169.254.1.1 in Asiair app for Vixen Starbook does not connect.
Switch the iPad (or smartphone or Pc) on, be sure that it is connected to an existing WiFi or switch WiFi off to be sure that it does not connect to the router which is switched on in the next step.
I have an old sitecom router which I gave base address 192.168.31.1. Check your router base address and replace in the following 192.168.31 by the corresponding part of your router base address, which I indicate by B
Select the Asiair WiFi on the iPad and start the asiair app, select WiFi icon in the Asiair app, activate WiFi station mode and enter IP address (to be) provided by router to Asiair, usually it will be 1 higher than address of starbook, in my setup: 192.168.31.51. Thus most probably B.3 in your setup.
Connect the iPad to the Sitecom router WiFi. Check the IP address of the iPad, its address must not be the address of the starbook or Asiair. Usually it will be 1 higher than the Asiair address. In my setup: 192.168.31.52.

I recently purchased Vixen SXD2 with Starbook 10 and wanted to connect it with ASIAIR PRO. I followed the steps as highlighted in Method 2. They seem to be connected when on LAN but the ASIAIR App fails to connect to mount outside saying check the baud number or IP address. Can you please help?
I am also interested to attach my ASI120mm guidescope to Starbook 10 and have been unable to do so. Is there any info available on how to connect wires. I am currently connected power from guidescope directly to ASIAIR and connect the ST4 cable from guidescope to AG port on Starbook 10.
