Dear ISSMER colleagues,

I was recently forwarded the email below about a MRE survey, in which the responses will be used for a social network analysis. Seeing as how the social sciences/studies are often under-represented in our field, I thought I should also share the email, which includes the survey link. Let's make sure we show up in their analysis alongside the engineers and marine scientists!

All the best,
Stacia

Dear colleagues,

Thank you again for completing this year’s ICES Offshore Renewable Energy Pathways to Influence survey. You are receiving this email because you indicated in the survey that you would like to keep abreast of the outcomes of the survey.

To date, 288 individuals have completed the survey (https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ICES_P2Isurvey_2017). We would like to share some preliminary results of the survey with you, which you can find in the attached PDF document.

Our survey will remain open for a short time – should you have colleagues working in Offshore Renewable Energy who have not completed our survey, please encourage them to do so by sharing this link with them: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ICES_P2Isurvey_2017.

Again, thank you for your participation in our survey. We anticipate that the final results will be published in 2018, and we will share final outputs from the survey with you at that time.

Sincerely,

Raeanne Miller and Tom Wilding

Hi Stacia,

Thank you very much for sharing this. Could we also have the PDF that was attached to the email - the attachment didn't go through.

We have also used the SNA for a MUSES project Stakeholder Profiles analysis. One SNA diagram was developed for each of the examined ocean multi use combinations in each of the EU sea basins. 8 out of 17 examined ocean multi use combinations consider MRE as one of the ocean uses.

We will use these SNA visuals as a teaser communication tool for our further discussion with stakeholders. The report is to be publicly available in couple of days - I am happy to share it here.

Cheers

Ivana

Hi all,

As requested by Ivana and a couple other people, here is the pdf that was attached to the original email. I’m sorry it didn’t come through when I sent it out originally.

Ivana - I would love to see your report when it’s completed. Please do share!

Best,
Stacia
