I've submitted 5.5.0 to the App Store. Contained in it are a few bug fixes (delete vs. backspace, custom keyboard key sizes, etc.) and significant protocol update. As of 5.5.0, mosh protocol support will be available.

Because mosh uses some encryption methods (namely OCB) not used in standard ssh, this required extra paperwork and licensing. I also need a good way to report, for licensing purposes, how many people are actually using mosh. So, that being said, mosh has been made an in-app purchase for a nominal US dollar.

I'm not making a habit of charging for extra features and mosh was a particularly special case where the hardest part has been the legal issues rather than software development ones.

I'll keep everyone posted.

Feedback is always welcome. Also, if you like iSSH, please leave a review in the app store!

Unfortunately not yet. Since Mosh is GPL licensed I implemented the protocol myself with my own, independent Objective C implementation. Local prediction didn't seem to come up much in beta testing so I figured I'd see what the interest was for it after release. I'll see that it gets included.

Mosh support makes me switch back from prompt! I'm happy to pay extra for it! Does it have local prediction?

Yes please on local prediction.

I'd love local prediction.

Hi,

I would still like to see environment variable support for iSSH. Currently I have to manually set LC_LANG after logging in because iSSH can't send environment  variables.

Hi,

It doesn't need it.

In the settings for your connection, just set the command to:

export LC_LANG=whatever; /bin/bash

Just tested it myself, and it works fine. Obviously you'll need to change it if you're not using bash.

Cheers,

Phil
